Mizuki is a transmigrated man who awakened in the body of the Konoha chūnin Mizuki during Naruto Uzumaki's Ninja Academy graduation exam. The original Mizuki was a war orphan with a sharp tactical mind, Fire affinity, and some puppetry knowledge, but his mediocre physical talent and jealousy left him vulnerable to Orochimaru's influence. 1 2

Aware of the original Mizuki's fate, he initially sought survival rather than prominence. His first major intervention was to manipulate Naruto into attacking Iruka through genjutsu, a stimulant drug, and the revelation that Naruto housed the Nine-Tails; he then took the Scroll of Sealing before Kakashi intercepted him. 4
