Li Fan said irritably:
"Come on, come on. Let me treat you."
Hearing Li Fan's voice, Daoist Gou could not help trembling all over. Then, as though his bones had been pulled out, he collapsed onto the dissecting table and sighed.
"My lord, thank you for thinking so highly of me. But I know my own condition best. These eyes of mine are done for... Still, I spent the first half of my life drifting without support, lowly and insignificant. Only by the good fortune of meeting you, my lord, did my life take a turn. I even got to fight the gods of the Heavenly Court. I have no regrets in this life..."
Li Fan rolled his eyes. He stepped forward and tore the bandages from Daoist Gou's eyes. The divine power of the Collector flowed, and in the blink of an eye, he selected a pair of eyes belonging to some old god from Fear Museum's collection of heads and stuffed them into Daoist Gou's empty eye sockets.
Daoist Gou said:
"My lord, my wounds haven't even... Huh? I'm healed!? I can see! And these eyes... these eyes are much clearer than my old ones! These are divine eyes! Thank you, my lord, thank you!"
Daoist Gou could already feel that this newly replaced pair of eyes worked far better than his original ones. Divine power faintly circulated within them; they were practically a pair of immensely powerful divine artifacts!
As he spoke, Daoist Gou flipped over and dropped to his knees with a thud, kowtowing to Li Fan. His face was full of joy, with none of the despondency or sorrow from his earlier words remaining.
Having followed Li Fan for so long, he naturally understood that this devil had a sharp tongue but a soft heart.
