Rebels?
Li Fan raised an eyebrow, smiled faintly, and said:
"Lead the way."
He had not expected these survivors of the New Continent United States to still be secretly organizing some kind of resistance.
This so-called resistance was clearly an organization made up of surviving awakened individuals.
It was probably much like those survivor groups in post-apocalyptic novels and movies.
The entire New Continent United States was basically in a state of apocalypse now.
Gern immediately nodded excitedly. He first pulled out a pair of pliers from his waist, ran over to the corpses of several werewolves and vampires, and pulled out all their fangs.
Then he plucked the thickest feather from the angel's wings. Only then did he happily lead the way ahead, taking the Night Watcher in the direction he had come from.
Before Li Fan, Gern had completely lost the toughness and courage of the dark hunter he had been before. Instead, he chattered all the way about what had happened to him after he and the Night Watcher had parted ways.
Like a cheerful high school student.
"Mr. Night Watcher, I heard it on the radio—your true identity is actually the director of the Central Anomaly Bureau in Central Province! That's incredible!"
As Gern spoke, he took out the teeth and feather he had just collected, pulled a bottle of strong liquor from his backpack, rinsed the teeth clean, then began threading them together one by one with a screwdriver.
Li Fan had not expected that even though most of the networks over on the New Continent had already gone down, news that he was the director of the Central Anomaly Bureau had still spread here. He said:
