The Ice Empress intervenes against Poison Undying and Xu Qing after their repeated hunting of mature Titan Snow Demons. She argues that the clan reproduces slowly and that their targets are its pillars. Xu Qing distracts her while arranging her capture, initially intending to use her for his fifth soul ring 16 17.

Taken to the Body Sect with her Soul Core sealed, she attempts to intimidate Xu Qing by claiming to have contacted the Snow Empress. He exposes the bluff by revealing that the Snow Empress is absent from the Far North. The Ice Empress then decides to pretend to submit while accumulating enough power to escape—or kidnap Xu Qing and force him to manufacture ice marrow 18 19.

Alliance with Xu Qing

Xu Qing reveals that the Snow Empress has been sealed by humans after her failed attempt to overcome her predicament. His knowledge of private details leaves the Ice Empress unable to dismiss his account.
