- Nuwa deliberately preserved the alien races of the Ancient Ruins World rather than exterminating them, intending to maintain an external threat that would keep the Nuwa Faction united 86.
- The Nuwa Faction and the Seamless Gate fought during the Great Calamity. The Seamless Gate’s Lord of Heart Demons sought to escape the Heavenly Dao through large-scale conflict 85.

History
Ancient era
The Ancient Ruins World became the refuge of alien survivors from an ancient war of destruction. Nuwa’s decision to exile, rather than eradicate, these races prevented major internal wars within the Three Realms for trillions of years by giving the Nuwa Faction a common external enemy 86.
Great Calamity
The Three Realms was threatened by both the Lord of Heart Demons and Elder Yuan. Elder Yuan’s objective was the realm’s Heart of the World; had he prevailed, he would have forced the Three Realms into premature Great Destruction 88.
Zhou Yu, his Cang You Avatar, Fuxi, Hou Yi, and other powerful figures resisted the catastrophe. Elder Yuan was ultimately eliminated, after which Zhou Yu and the Dao Ancestors rebuilt the Six Paths of Reincarnation and restored the realm’s former order 89 90.
Departure into the Chaos
More than a thousand years after the decisive battle, Fuxi, Suiren, Hou Yi, Buddha Jueming, Zhou Yu, and Zhou Yu’s Cang You Avatar gathered near the Three Realms and departed aboard a Chaos Flying Boat for the Damo Domain 131.
Despite this diaspora, Zhou Yu retained avatars within the Three Realms. Their presence was regarded as sufficient protection against ordinary World Realm invaders 138.
