The Decision to Cultivate

Watching Ju Hua stare at the jade slip in his hand without a word, the old man smiled and asked, "Now that you've finished reading, is there anything you'd like to ask?"

"Am I suited to cultivate the Soul Fusion Reincarnation secret art?" Ju Hua asked.

"I can only say that you're exceptionally suited to it!" The old man nodded without hesitation.

Ju Hua said nothing. In truth, his true soul had long been different from those of ordinary cultivators. That much hadn't surprised him. The only thing he wondered was how the old man had known his true soul was special.

Or, rather, how much did the old man know about his true soul?

Of course, although he had questions, Ju Hua didn't voice them. He knew full well there was no point in asking now; it would only expose how unusual he was.

After a moment of silence, Ju Hua asked again, "The grand formation that restores the true soul requires a hundred thousand Black Crystal Stones to set up, but I don't have that many. And this art can only be cultivated by someone in the World Realm. Are you asking me to go find a hundred thousand Black Crystal Stones now?"

In truth, any cultivator below the Dao Lord level could cultivate Soul Fusion Reincarnation. A Dao Lord was the unity of all things, and his true soul was one and indivisible. It was unrealistic for a Dao Lord to try to separate his true soul. Unless he gave up his life, there was no way he could successfully cultivate this art.

But then again, the Reincarnated Body had to keep the original self's memories, which required the original self to remain alive. So... a Dao Lord had no chance of successfully cultivating this art!
