Dawn was in a good mood.
After reaching a deal with Trafalgar Law, one of Dawn's important "strategic branches" was more than halfway complete. All that remained was to wait for events to unfold.
There had also been progress on Byrnndi World's side. Once Dawn made it clear that the World Government was his enemy as well, the other man burst into laughter as though he had heard the funniest joke in the world.
After all, hearing such treasonous words from a Marine was absurd no matter how one looked at it.
But Dawn immediately brought out the trump card of the Contract, then revealed that the Thunder God Pirates had been secretly cultivated by him as proof.
After receiving that bombshell of information, Byrnndi World and his group were shocked, but they did not fully believe him.
However, Dawn stated outright that once he released Byrnndi World and the others, they could directly join the Thunder God Pirates. If he was lying, then their contracts of allegiance would become invalid immediately.
In the end, Byrnndi World had no choice but to see the logic in Dawn's words and accept his "terms," though he still had his doubts.
That was good news for Dawn. He now had someone to enhance Pluton's attacks. If Byrnndi World had refused to cooperate, Dawn had been prepared to find an opportunity to acquire the technology for modifying Kuma.
It might not have been as adaptable then, but it could still serve as an amplifier. At worst, it would be a single-use product that was scrapped after one battle.
After all, there could not possibly be a second final battle.
Still, that would have been far too troublesome. The amplification could not be adjusted flexibly, and whatever was set could only be carried out rigidly.
