In the forest at the island's outskirts, two forces were locked in a frenzied slaughter.
A horned Gifter wielding a massive axe hacked off a Demon Soldier's head, but at the same time, the creature's claws tore a chunk of flesh from him.
Before he had a chance to catch his breath, several Demon Soldiers pounced on him at once, swarming over him like beasts.

Several lasers streaked through the air, carrying the scent of ozone as they blanketed both the Demon Soldiers and the Gifter in artillery fire.
"Get lost!!"
The Gifter, having forcibly endured several lasers, roared as he swung his great axe, smashing the Demon Soldiers riddled with holes toward several mechanical soldiers in the distance.
