Moria rescued Tom from Enies Lobby and brought him to Sky Island, where Tom considered helping Dawn build Pluton. Meanwhile, Dawn hunted Catarina Devon, fought Katakuri to sharpen his Observation Haki, and captured Devon for Impel Down.

• Tom refused to give Spandam the Pluton Blueprints, but Moria broke him out of Enies Lobby and escaped with him.
• Tom joined Moria on the journey to Sky Island, where he learned Dawn might be able to build Pluton and considered helping him.
• Dawn and his companions searched for Catarina Devon, and Hina and Sola found her disguised as Cardina before fighting her.
• Catarina Devon escaped Dawn’s first pursuit and lured him into a confrontation with Katakuri, who sought revenge for Dawn killing Charlotte Oven.
• Dawn fought Katakuri and used their battle to advance his Observation Haki, then withdrew rather than risk a war with the Big Mom Pirates.
• Dawn rejoined the Marines pursuing Catarina Devon and broke free of her illusions with Conqueror’s Haki.

Dawn secured Tom’s help to build Pluton on the moon and sent Enel to confront Crocodile in Alabasta. After Enel defeated Crocodile, the Thunder God Pirates began taking over Buster Call Town, while Dawn’s wider plans continued to gather strength.

• Dawn brought Catarina Devon under Ouroboros’s Contract, then used his healing ability and collected life force as the crew survived the Sea King stampede.
• Dawn persuaded Tom to help build Pluton, and they established the moon’s ancient city as a secret base with Enel and its robots assisting.
• Dawn sent Enel to Alabasta to stop Crocodile’s drought scheme and tasked him with searching the skies for Golden Lion.
• Edward Weevil attacked Zephyr’s training ship, killed a trainee, and forced Dawn to intervene and battle him while Zephyr rescued the wounded.
• Dawn healed the injured trainees, then reunited with Hancock and arranged funding and training support for Amazon Lily’s forces.
• Enel fought Crocodile across Rainbase and the desert, overcame his sand defenses with heat and electromagnetic attacks, and drove him into hiding.

Dawn brought Morgans and several underworld figures into his faction, then hunted down and killed Golden Lion, gaining the Float-Float Fruit. Five years later, Dawn began assembling a campaign against Big Mom, recruiting Bege as a spy and preparing Enel to become a new emperor.

• Dawn recruited Morgans through Ouroboros’s Contract and tasked him with finding Golden Lion and bringing underworld rulers to Gran Tesoro.
• Morgans located Golden Lion’s floating island, and Dawn and Enel attacked it before Dawn faced Golden Lion in a fierce battle.
• Dawn defeated Golden Lion, and Ouroboros consumed him and the Float-Float Fruit as the floating islands crashed into the sea.
• Dawn reported Golden Lion’s death to Sengoku, and the Marines publicized the victory across the seas.
• In 1520, Dawn killed Jigra after he refused the Contract, while Baby-5 defeated Jigra’s attackers and returned to Dawn.
• Dawn announced that one of the Four Emperors would die, named Enel his intended successor as Thor, and planned to send Enel and Moria against Big Mom.

Dawn recruited Shiryu, defeated Blackbeard during the Impel Down breakout, and arranged for the Dark-Dark Fruit to be devoured. At Marineford, Sengoku revealed Ace’s parentage and Whitebeard’s forces began their assault, leaving the war raging.

• Dawn convinced Capone Bege to join the coming war, then arranged for Fisher Tiger to put Luffy’s crew through challenging fights and teach them Haki.
• Dawn killed Foxy and captured his Devil Fruit, while Aokiji later confronted the Straw Hat Pirates and froze Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Robin before Dawn persuaded him to let them go.
• Dawn joined Hancock’s escort to Impel Down, smuggled Luffy inside, and secured Shiryu’s release by trading Sengoku his reward for defeating Golden Lion.
• Dawn warned the Navy that Blackbeard would raid Impel Down, then flew there with Shiryu and attacked Blackbeard’s crew as the breakout unfolded.
• Dawn and Shiryu fought Blackbeard and his escaped allies, with Shiryu killing Van Augur and Dawn killing Doc Q, Avalo Pizarro, and Jesus Burgess.
• Dawn and Catarina Devon killed Blackbeard, after which Dawn ordered Ouroboros to devour the Dark-Dark Fruit and sent Devon to help Luffy escape.
