"Dodoria, Zarbon, you both heard that, didn't you?" Frieza suddenly called out their names.
Although they had no desire to come forward just then, they had no choice.
As Frieza's trusted subordinates, they could tell he was in a foul mood. They didn't want to do anything that might set him off.
"We heard you, King Frieza."
"Me too, King Frieza."
Dodoria, whose body was covered in warts like a toad's, stepped out from the crowd. Zarbon, with his gentle, refined appearance, followed him.
The two of them came before Frieza.
"What do you make of Captain Ginyu's last words?" Frieza asked a question that seemed to have nothing to do with anything.
At his words, cold sweat poured down Zarbon and Dodoria's faces.
"Captain Ginyu mentioned the Saiyans at the end, but I don't believe the Saiyans were strong enough to kill him."
"I think so too, King Frieza."
Neither of them dared show the slightest negligence.
Frieza hadn't called them over to listen to such nonsense. He gave a couple of sinister chuckles. "I think so too. This must just be the Galactic Patrol's attempt to frame those bastards."
"Then, King Frieza, shall I go wipe out the Galactic Patrol?"
"Exactly, King Frieza! The Galactic Patrol has gotten too arrogant. Let's wipe them out!"
Dodoria and Zarbon both believed Frieza.
However, Frieza, who was moving slowly in his hoverchair, shook his head slightly. "Now isn't the right time to deal with the Galactic Patrol. That dead octopus still has a few tricks up his sleeve."
Dodoria and Zarbon were immediately confused.
What did King Frieza mean?
It was clearly the Galactic Patrol that had framed them.
Why weren't they going after those guys?
Was this really the Frieza Force, which did whatever it wanted throughout the universe without fear of consequences?
Although Dodoria and Zarbon didn't understand Frieza's actions, they didn't dare challenge him to his face. They simply nodded in agreement.
Whatever he said, nodding was the right move.
Frieza was pleased with their attitude. He'd noticed that lately, the two of them had gotten a little carried away, thinking they could do whatever they wanted because he favored them. This was the perfect chance to put them in their place.
"A legend passed down in my family warns us to beware of Super Saiyans and Super Saiyan Gods." Frieza suddenly brought up a legend that seemed to have nothing to do with the matter at hand.
As he spoke, Frieza's gaze abruptly settled on Dodoria and Zarbon, his eyes icy. "What do you think of this legend?"
Dodoria and Zarbon swallowed hard. They both understood that their lives were on the line and they couldn't afford to make a mistake.
If they gave the wrong answer today,
they might not live to see another year.
"Your subordinate believes King Frieza is invincible."
"Exactly! What are Super Saiyans, or Super Saiyan Gods, compared to King Frieza? They're nothing but trash!"
Dodoria and Zarbon competed to echo Frieza's words.
Frieza was quite pleased.
"Indeed. Super Saiyans and Super Saiyan Gods are nothing but a ridiculous legend, but..." Frieza suddenly sneered. His laugh was as chilling as a venomous snake slithering through the depths of hell. "Isn't this a perfect opportunity to teach those wild monkeys a lesson?"
Only then did Dodoria and Zarbon understand what King Frieza was planning.
They shuddered.
The two of them dropped to their knees in unison.
"King Frieza is wise!"
Seeing them kneel, everyone around them hurried to do the same, afraid of being even a moment too slow.
"King Frieza is wise!"
"King Frieza is wise!"
Their voices filled the entire main command room.
Frieza felt his spirits soar. His gaze fell on one of the people kneeling in the crowd.
When the man noticed Frieza looking his way, he shuddered.
Frieza narrowed his eyes and smiled. "Don't be nervous. I'm not that scary."
"I only wanted to ask how much longer until we reach Planet Vegeta."
The man replied in a trembling voice:
"King Frieza, it's still quite far. It'll take three more months to get there!"
The moment he finished speaking,
a beam suddenly pierced his heart.
The man's eyes gradually lost their life, and he fell to the ground.
"I'll ask again. How much longer?"
Frieza's imposing presence made him impossible to ignore.
"T-two... two months!"
Whoosh!
Another man died.
"O-one month, King Frieza. That's the fastest we can make it."
"That's right, King Frieza."
"If we go any faster, the ship won't be able to take it."
The killing intent surrounding Frieza dissipated, and he returned to his usual gentle, refined demeanor. "One month, then. Let those stinking monkeys live for one more month."
"Transmit my orders. Change course for Planet Vegeta!"
Nobody dared delay. They all returned to their stations and resumed their duties.
Looking at the thriving scene around him, Frieza's mood improved once more, and he laughed without meaning to.
"Oh-ho-ho-ho!"
His wicked laughter echoed through the surrounding space.
Destroyer God Realm.
Night had fallen. The sky looked like mysterious black silk, with stars glimmering and twinkling across it.
At that moment, in Mu Yang's room,
all was quiet and peaceful.
Mu Yang solemnly studied his still-youthful face, already showing the first hints of handsomeness, in the mirror. His reflection took a deep breath.
He wasn't standing in front of the mirror because he was vain.
He was about to conduct an experiment!
Mu Yang remembered that in the original story, there were two ways to transform into a Super Saiyan.
One was discovered in Universe 7.
The other was discovered in Universe 6.
The two methods were anger and concentrating one's ki in the back.
Mu Yang couldn't possibly transform into a Super Saiyan through anger. There was nothing around to make him angry.
So his only option was to focus his energy in his back and transform into a Super Saiyan.
That was right—Mu Yang was going to transform into a Super Saiyan tonight!
Now that his battle power had reached the required level,
there was no reason not to transform!
Mu Yang closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Sensing the vast ki within him, as boundless as the sea, he carefully directed it toward his back.
A light sheen of sweat appeared on his forehead.
But Mu Yang didn't stop. He continued to push himself.
Thump!
When he concentrated all his ki in his back, his hair stood on end and turned golden, while the aura around him surged with immense, terrifying power.
When Mu Yang opened his eyes, his irises had also turned bright blue.
He clenched his fist and sensed the seemingly endless energy within him. He felt incredible.
To put it simply, he was confident he could defeat his former self in a single move!
