Background

Lazuli was originally an ordinary human girl. Dr. Gero transformed her and her twin brother, Lapis, into Androids, but failed to fully erase their memories and humanity. Their retained memories included the persecution of their family and friends, leading the siblings to kill Gero after gaining their power. 11 47

After confronting their past, she and Lapis abandon their numerical Android designations and reclaim their names. Though she lets go of the past, Lazuli initially still intends to find Son Goku and give him a beating because of the role his conflict with the Red Ribbon Army played in their circumstances. 11 12

Appearance

Lazuli is a blonde, fair-skinned woman with a cold, striking appearance. Training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber resumes her previously slowed physical development, increasing her height by 10 cm to 1.70 m. 20 29

Personality

Lazuli is outwardly cool, intimidating, and blunt. She can unnerve civilians and Mr. Popo without effort, dismisses weak opponents, and treats Lapis's occasional arrogance with immediate violence or ridicule. 14 29 30

Beneath that harsh exterior, she is playful and affectionate with Mo Yuan. She initially hides her excitement at the prospect of spending a year training with him, then openly teases and flirts with him during their time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. 13 18

She is fiercely protective of the people she considers family. Lazuli remains beside Mo Yuan while his bloodlines threaten to destroy him, breaks down in fear for him, and later carefully checks Lapis for injuries after his battle with Son Goku. 24 25 47

Her determination also extends to training. She refuses warm clothing during the Time Chamber's extreme cold in order to strengthen herself through endurance. 19
