"Move. I'll do it." A masked wizard beside him reached out to stop Fenrir, spoke in a dark, sharp voice through pinched tones, and raised his wand.
"Ss... Sss..." Greyback glared at him unhappily, just about to shout the man's name, when another masked Death Eater beside him suddenly grabbed his arm.
"Shut up, idiot. Remember that you're facing a Death Eater." Lucius, also masked, rebuked him coldly. He was scolding Greyback, who, because of his Werewolf status, had not been branded with the Dark Mark—Lucius had been burning with impatience because there had been people around him the whole time, leaving him unable to report to Allen. Though he despised the Weasleys, he had previously tried to focus his attacks on their ramshackle house. Now he remembered that Allen had another spy at You-Know-Who's side, and, somewhat suspicious of Snape's motives, he spoke up to help stop Greyback.
"Molly, take the children and use Apparition to leave first. Bill, sorry, you'll need to stay with me a little longer," Arthur called behind him.
"Of course, Father." Bill briskly cast Protego again.
Molly understood what her husband and Bill meant. If the whole family Apparated together now, being attacked while they were misting away would be extremely dangerous; father and son were trying to buy them time. But Molly had only tugged at the children when she felt Ginny wrench free from her hand instead. She looked up at the children's eyes and understood what they meant. Not putting the children first as she usually would, she said calmly to Arthur, "Arthur, neither the Weasley family nor the Prewett family has a tradition of sacrificing family members."
