The Allen before Voldemort merely curled his lip in contempt and did not speak. Two clouds of Apparition black mist appeared beside him. You-Know-Who's pupils contracted, his red eyes fixing hard on the two Allens who had suddenly appeared, his vertical pupils narrowing with unease.
"The name Voldemort comes from the French vol de mort, meaning flight from death." One of Allen's Clones waved his fingers, using an illusion to make the name Voldemort appear in front of him, then separated it into that phrase. "Tom, of course I knew you were this afraid of death. You know my sister-in-law's background, so my French is quite good..."
"Tom, look what this is." Allen's other clone took out Voldemort's Demonic Grimoire and a wand shaped like a finger, with a distinctive curved style, and waved them in front of Voldemort.
Recognizing the magic book and the wand that belonged to him, You-Know-Who screamed. Voldemort's empty, pale hand clenched fiercely. "What have you done?! You went somewhere you should never have gone!" Then, from his mouth before it had even closed, he spat a stream of flame at the Allen's Clone holding the items, while a beam of green light immediately shot from Voldemort's wand toward Allen's true body. (Author's note: In the original, the only places where Voldemort seemed to show any emotional change were, aside from when he applied to Dumbledore for a job, when he let out that scream after Bella was killed by Molly.)
The Allen's Clone that was not holding anything easily used Shadow Shield to block the Magic Flame for the clone holding the items, while Allen's true self narrowed his eyes in disdain as he faced the Killing Curse that was still some distance away from him.
