The next day, the reports in the British Magical World's news media left the wizards at a loss. Not only did they cover many different areas, there was basically nothing in them worth celebrating.
The threats from the Pureblood families the day before had already become reality. Workshops and shops under families such as Borgin, Bulstrode, and Bobbin officially announced that, affected by the United Kingdom Ministry of Magic's recent policies, they were beginning to halt production and work, shutting down all business.
Aside from showing up at the scene to protest the day before, the Goblins of Gringotts did not do anything too extreme. They merely reiterated again and again that Gringotts would not recognize the new currency system Harris Wizarding Bank might introduce—although Goblins from other countries had also joined the condemnation and protests, Gringotts had not done anything like suspending business and damaging its own banking trade, giving the Ministry of Magic an opening to pick a fight, let alone directly launching a rebellion as it had in modern times. These cunning Goblins knew they could not lose their heads first. The other Purebloods the Harris Family had provoked would take the lead.
And just as the Goblins had expected, the wizards who had lost their jobs, together with shopkeepers whose businesses had already suffered losses because of the embargoes and sanctions imposed by other countries, gathered in various wizarding settlements and launched protests under the deliberate behind-the-scenes incitement of the Pureblood families. They shouted for the Ministry of Magic to change the situation and provide them with compensation and resettlement. After the Death Eater groups successfully carried out robberies in the French Magical World, the news that Umbrella had officially begun sending armed forces to assist the local government in maintaining order hardly counted for much.
