Ignoring Penelope's and Emily's questions, Luna's slightly protruding silver eyes settled on Hermione, who was lying on the sofa looking utterly listless. Fortunately, Luna's expression always looked surprised. "Hermione, I can take care of her."
Hermione's expression eased as well. At least she would not have to deal with one big and one little troublemaker while she was sick.
"You need Godigan Tea..." Luna said dreamily, her eyes fixed on Hermione as if she did not need to blink. "It used to keep Big-Mouthed Ball Fish away. It's a little spicy. You could use it right now."
"That's wonderful... but there's no need to trouble yourself. Luna, if you have things to do, go ahead..." Hermione said thickly through her blocked nose, shaking her head slightly, her tone firm. The thought of Godigan Tea's reeking, giant-onion-like smell made Hermione lose what little appetite she had left. The relief she had felt just now at having someone to take care of her was gone. She realized that treating a cold with Godigan Tea and having Luna take care of her was not much better than staying with Penelope.
"Move over a little." Luna's protruding eyes met Hermione's reluctant brown ones. She nudged Hermione's leg, leaned forward, and sat down on the sofa, saying dreamily, "You need company."
With that, Luna climbed fully onto the sofa, pressed down on Hermione's shoulder, and lay straight down. Hermione was thrown completely off balance by the sudden squeeze, and the pressure forced a breath out of her. "Lu... Luna, what are you doing?"
Luna pressed herself against Hermione, then rested her head on the sofa arm as if recalling something. With her other arm, she drew Hermione's shoulders in and held Hermione's head against her chest, saying in a singsong voice, "When Helena was ill,
