The wind and snow howled. Frost clung to the arched glass window of Luna's room, and the roaring fire in the hearth reflected across Luna's face as she lay in her chair. Helena stood obediently behind her mother, copying Narcissa's earlier posture and movements as she gently kneaded the flesh of Luna's neck, making Luna look even more drowsy.
"Lady Ravenclaw... after you eat, sit for a while before sleeping. You should feel more comfortable..." After setting the carefully cooked meal on the dining table, Narcissa offered the reminder with utmost respect. Even though Luna's current state was far too hazy and unreliable, influenced by the Black family's upbringing, Narcissa could not be negligent toward this little witch whom she believed to be of incomparably noble status. In fact, over the past few days, Narcissa's attitude toward Luna had already surpassed the reverence she showed Morgan le Fay.
"Call me Luna," Luna corrected her.
"All right... Luna..." Narcissa answered in a voice as faint as a mosquito's, then picked up the tray and stood. "Then I'll come back later, Lady Ravenclaw."
"Call me Lu..." The Goddess seemed to have finally given up on correcting mortals about forms of address. She waved her hand and turned her attention to the food.
"Ah, sorry, Raven..." Narcissa shut her mouth. She gave Helena a smile, then looked at Allen, who was tinkering with a cauldron and potion ingredients on one side of the room. Without making a sound to disturb him, she merely bowed slightly, then quickly left the room with the empty tray.
Luna sighed. "Good thing I'm not Monkey Face... otherwise she'd be even more respectful."
"You look like you're enjoying it just fine. Otherwise I'd have healed your leg long ago, but you still refuse to go down to eat..."
