In the skies north of the Floating City, on the small deck by the staggered section at the bow of the Floating Ship, the crowd from earlier was gone. Only Allen and Long-Eye were accompanying the Prime Minister's family; the others had mostly stayed inside the cabin because of their severe teleportation sickness, avoiding making things awkward for one another.

The Prime Minister pressed a hand to his chest. That churning, suffocating feeling left him unable to control his bearing, and he barely managed to preserve a prime minister's dignity as he took the anti-teleportation-sickness potion Long-Eye handed him.

The Prime Minister's wife, who showed no unpleasant symptoms, was patting their son Ewan on the back. Though he was the youngest, his reaction was the worst; he was bent over the gunwale, throwing up, causing the nearby rubbish bins to bustle about as if tap-dancing, yet unable to catch anything.
