Voldemort's cold, ruthless voice sank like ice into the goblins' hearts. They did not understand what punishment the Dark Lord meant, but they were shocked to realize he was even more insane than they had imagined. Before this group of goblins could beg for mercy, they saw the Dark Lord raise his wand at them. A dazzling spell flashed through the darkness, and the goblins were frozen in place, utterly unable to move.
Fortunately, Voldemort did not seem to intend to take their lives outright. Instead, he approached the Dragon. Sensing the noise, the Dragon—already in an even worse temper after being frightened by a group using Clinking Coins—turned its ugly head straight toward them. Judging the rough range of the human figures through its poor dragon eyes, it let out a tremendous roar that made even the stones tremble, opened its jaws wide, and spewed a blast of raging fire.
The heat, hot enough to make a person's eyeballs melt out of their sockets in an instant, posed no threat at all. Before it could reach Bellatrix, it turned into a fire snake in front of Voldemort, then was swallowed straight into Voldemort's mouth.
"Allen, when you talked about contacting Josephine earlier, did you mean to use the law to help this Dragon get free?" Hermione's worried voice suddenly sounded in Allen's heart. "I'm afraid that won't work. Wizard law can't restrict goblins from using Dragons to guard vaults... As long as their paperwork is complete, there's nothing we can do... Uh? What are you..."
Hermione stared in surprise as Voldemort, played by Allen, said nothing. He merely crooked his little finger again and extended his wand toward the Dragon. Chains clashed and jangled, and those chains split apart and fell to the ground.
