Whether it was Ravenclaw's wild delight or Gryffindor's dejected departure, these emotions gradually faded with the passage of time. The library was packed with students consulting materials, and Allen saw Harry, Ron, and Hermione there most of the time. Hermione was a diligent and inquisitive student; she did not find this level of studying burdensome and even seemed to enjoy it. Harry and Ron, on the other hand, sighed and yawned endlessly, yet had no choice but to struggle through their overwhelming assignments. Whenever Allen saw such scenes, he could not help laughing.

On such a bright and sunny day, staying in a library full of books and memorizing vast amounts of dull information was truly unbearable. Allen looked out through the library window. The sky was clear and pure, as blue as forget-me-nots, while sunlight shimmered over the rippling lake. How pleasant it would be to take a walk by the lake at a time like this! Stirred by the thought, Allen stretched his arms, rose to his feet, and prepared to go for a stroll.

Just as he was about to leave the library, Allen saw Hagrid hurriedly hide something behind his back. Despite the warm weather, he was wearing a moleskin overcoat, which looked terribly out of place.

"Hagrid, what brings you to the library today?" Allen greeted him casually.

"Oh, I—I came to find Harry." Hagrid's voice was evasive. Spotting Harry, Ron, and Ginny in the distance, he seemed to find an excuse. He said
