Mansion Underground Laboratory

The group continued downward, turned onto another staircase, and descended to the second basement level. This floor looked like a vast beehive built underground, completely different from the layout above. In the center of the hall was a distinctive, enormous octagonal floor made up of alternating red and white sections. The ceiling was gray, and everything around them seemed dim and cold. The white, square-patterned floor tiles around the edges gave off a bleak light. All around stood cages that held magical creatures and humanoid beings; some of the silver-plated cages gleamed coldly under the pallid lamps, and inside each one was a werewolf.

Above these cages, round Crystal Balls modeled after the moon gave off light. The werewolves who were violently tearing at the silver-plated cages had clearly lost their minds, while the thin, weak ones huddled in the corners, whimpering, pressed themselves even farther into the corners when they heard footsteps.

When they saw Allen and the others come in, all kinds of howls rang through the basement. They bared their sharp wolf fangs at Allen with savage faces. Some of the stronger werewolves had muscles brimming with explosive power and fangs glimmering with a faint light, radiating a mixture of terror and horror under the ghastly illumination. Some werewolves still retained their reason, gripping the silver-plated bars and staring coldly at Allen and the others. The werewolves who had lost their minds kept slamming into their cages with heavy bangs...

After they passed through the cages, a silver-plated iron door clanged open to both sides. Four-Eyes withdrew her wand, leaned forward slightly, and extended her palm toward Allen in an inviting gesture. Allen stepped inside and heard not only the howls of werewolves, but also miserable cries from things he could not identify.
