Penelope glanced guiltily at Allen's face. Unlike her usual capable self, she looked hesitant now. Allen waved over a chair and sat down, then looked at Penelope and sighed. "If you did something that makes you worry I'll be unhappy like this, why did you do it in the first place...? Don't worry, Penelope. I promised you back then that as long as you didn't kill her, you could do whatever you wanted with her. I don't blame you, but you still have to tell me what happened..."

"At first, we never meant to turn Umbridge into what she is now. Things just got a little out of control." Seeing that Allen did not seem inclined to blame her or dig too deeply, Penelope let out a breath of relief. She carefully half-crouched beside Allen, her expression somewhat annoyed. "Doctor and I each had our own ideas about how to deal with Umbridge, and we both thought our own methods were superior and could make Umbridge suffer more. So in the end, during the argument, the two of us had a little dispute."

Penelope stopped and glanced at Allen. Allen gently patted the hand Penelope had placed on his leg and asked, "And then?"

"Since neither of us could convince the other, we decided to take turns testing our methods on Umbridge. We turned it into a competition, to see whose techniques could make her suffer more." Penelope frankly described what the two of them had done to Umbridge.
