Lockhart looked at the now-empty cage. His lower lip rose, and he pressed his mouth tight as he stood up. He noticed that the great stone door leading outside was already open, and with a quick turn of thought, he understood that these Death Eaters must not have wanted to dirty this underground area any further, so they planned to deal with the Muggles outside.

In a flash of inspiration, Lockhart came up with an idea. He strode quickly toward Dolphin and the others, who had already moved to the entrance of the stone cavern.

Dolphin gripped his wand, narrowed his eyes, and leaned back slightly. "Why isn't the great author staying with his little Muggle sweetheart anymore? Lowly people do like huddling together."
