Sirius Black finally stopped mauling the little that remained of Regulus's poor black hair. Because an Undead Creature's heap of immunities forced him to draw his wand and turn it into a whip, he bound Regulus tightly, climbed down off him, and fell flat on his back on the ground, as if every last bit of strength had just been drained from him.

"Sirius Black, do you want me to undo Regulus's current state and restore him to what he should be before you take him back?" Allen walked over and asked tactfully whether he wanted him turned back into an immobile corpse.

"No! I have to get him home and let that old witch take a good look at what her education did to Regulus!" Sirius Black propped both hands on the ground and sat up.

Allen did not expose Sirius Black's words. He seemed to be going to blame his mother, but in truth he wanted to let them see each other again before Regulus was buried—after Regulus disappeared, his and Sirius Black's mother, Mrs. Walburga Black, had been "driven mad with grief" over it.

"Allen, what about the other Inferi?" Hermione's gaze swept over the Muggle Inferi, pity showing in her eyes. Regulus could be taken back by Sirius Black and properly buried, but the relatives of these Muggles would never be able to come here and take them home.

"For now, they have to stay here. Otherwise, the arrangements here would be useless..." Allen pondered for a moment, then had Lynch direct the Inferi back into the lake. "After this is over, I'll use divination and do my best to send them back to their families one by one... For those who can't be sent home, there will also be one proper collective funeral..."
