As the wedding was about to begin, the guests found their seats one after another—because Remus Lupin and the others had invited only the true relatives and friends they recognized, the number of guests at the whole ceremony looked much smaller than at a normal wedding. Yet compared with those grand, extravagant weddings, the atmosphere here had less false courtesy and felt much more sincere and warm.
There were no complicated formalities; the ceremony was very simple. After the wedding was loudly announced to have begun, under the blessing gazes of the guests, Ted held Tonks's hand and led her toward Remus Lupin, who was waiting in the middle of the petal carpet.
Tonks wore a smile, her cheeks flushed with happiness, her gaze as if intoxicated by love, shining and charming like stars. The white wedding dress clung to her skin, showing off her fine figure, while the flowing train further highlighted her long, pale legs.
The instant they stepped through the floral archway, petals flew out from the arch made of all kinds of fresh flowers, swirling and dancing around Tonks and Ted. The rain of flowers filling the air made the wedding scene seem exceptionally romantic.
