The Nine-Tails' power was far too great. Once it went out of control, the consequences would be unimaginable.
As Uchiha Ying Yue looked at the Nine-Tails, which had been sealed so tightly, a thought arose in his heart: the tailed beasts did not actually need to be suppressed so cruelly. Perhaps humans and tailed beasts could coexist in a more peaceful way.
During his conversation with Uzumaki Mito, Ying Yue frankly voiced this opinion.
Ying Yue said, "Grandma Mito, although the Nine-Tails possesses immense power, it isn't incapable of living in harmony with humans. If we always treat it as a tool to be suppressed, its hatred for Konoha will only grow deeper. If a future jinchuriki lacks sufficient sealing skill and the Nine-Tails is ever released, the consequences may be disastrous."
Mito silently nodded. She understood Ying Yue's concerns.
Indeed, future Nine-Tails jinchuriki might not be able to keep the Nine-Tails under such firm control as she did.
She continued, "You're right. I have already been working to train Kushina. She is the successor I chose, with the powerful bloodline of the Uzumaki Clan and exceptional talent in sealing techniques. She has now learned enough sealing techniques to safely seal the Nine-Tails. However, if she wishes to borrow the Nine-Tails' power and truly coexist with it without relying on suppression, she will likely need far more experience and skill."
Ying Yue continued, "I understand your concerns. The Nine-Tails' power truly is too great. But I think we can gradually give it some freedom. For example, within its mental space, the seal does not need to be so strict. We could even release some of the Nine-Tails' chakra and allow it to create a chakra clone to experience a little freedom. Perhaps then its hatred for Konoha would lessen somewhat."
