It can be said that in terms of taijutsu, the Naruto world relies entirely on speed and strength to hack away at people; the technical aspect is, frankly, pathetically weak.
Having finished this thought, Kangetsu walked directly toward the waiting room ahead. The people inside this room were those designated to participate in this war. Once the person in charge of recording the mission saw that the room was sufficiently filled and that the mission's success could be ensured, they would announce the start, and a designated leader would then guide them into battle.
This so-called battle had no tactics to speak of. They were simply taken to a forest or some other location resembling a battlefield, and the fight between the two sides would commence. The so-called victory was only achieved once one side had been completely wiped out, though, of course, there could be reinforcements involved.
In truth, this war was nothing more than a massive brawl—finding a place to clash and deciding the outcome through sheer force.
Kangetsu could only be speechless at this, though it had been the established norm for a long time.
Upon entering the waiting room, Kangetsu went straight to a corner, hugged his sword with both arms, and sat on the floor. His cold, indifferent eyes gazed slightly at the ground, and he remained perfectly still.
Many people found this scene with Kangetsu strange. Since the mission was simple, most of those who arrived were Genin, with only a few so-called Chunin present. When these people entered the waiting room, the first thing they did was disclose their identities to everyone; after all, if they died, their families wouldn't even know, which was undeniably a tragic state of affairs.
Others sought out partners, as forming a team on the battlefield offered a far higher survival rate than being a so-called lone wolf.
Yet, at this moment, Kangetsu simply sat there without moving, appearing as lifeless as a corpse.
Of course, if Kangetsu were a master and chose to be a lone wolf, no one would stop him.
But Kangetsu, not even a meter tall, clearly did not look old. At this moment, a man who acted as the leader of the group walked over, looked at Kangetsu, and said, "Little kid, you're so young, why are you on the battlefield?"
However, Kangetsu ignored the man completely. His cold eyes remained fixed on the floor.
The leader, feeling his pride wounded, said with some irritation, "Don't tell me your family is all dead and you're the only one left, so you don't want to live anymore, right?"
Before he could finish his sentence, a black flash of light streaked by. A blade was already resting against the leader's throat. Kangetsu slowly lifted his head, his cold, indifferent eyes locking onto the man as he said chillingly, "If you want to die, feel free to keep talking."
The voice, which seemed capable of freezing a person to death, cast a layer of icy chill over the small waiting room. Everyone was stunned; these were people of low strength, and they felt a sense of fear at the intense impact of Kangetsu's actions.
