Waiting room

When it came to Taijutsu, the Naruto World relied entirely on speed and strength to cut people down. Its technique was pathetically weak!

With that thought, Kangetsu walked straight toward the waiting room ahead. The people inside were those who would be taking part in the current war. Once the person beside it who handled mission records saw that enough people had gathered to ensure victory, he would announce that the mission could begin. Then a leader would take them into battle!

These so-called battles involved no real tactics. They were simply taken to a forest or somewhere resembling a battlefield, and the two sides would start fighting! Only when one side had been completely slaughtered would the other claim its so-called victory. Of course, reinforcements could also arrive along the way!

This war was practically one giant brawl: find a place, fight it out, and decide the winner!

Kangetsu had no words for any of this, but that was how things had been done for a long time!

After entering the waiting room, Kangetsu went straight to a corner, cradled his sword in both arms, and sat on the floor. His cold eyes rested on the ground, and he remained utterly still!

Many of the people there found his behavior strange. Since the mission was simple, almost everyone who had come was a Genin, with only a few Chunin among them. The first thing people did upon entering the waiting room was introduce themselves to everyone. After all, if they died, even their families might never know. That was a sad thing indeed!

They also sought out companions. Forming a team on the battlefield gave them a far better chance of survival than going it alone!

Yet Kangetsu merely sat there without moving, as though he were a corpse!

Of course, if Kangetsu were an expert and wanted to act alone, no one would stop him!

But Kangetsu was less than a meter tall and clearly very young. So someone who seemed to be the leader of the group walked over, looked at him, and said, "Kid, how did you end up on the battlefield at such a young age?"

Kangetsu completely ignored the apparent man's words! His eyes remained fixed coldly on the ground!

The leader seemed to feel slighted and said with some irritation, "Don't tell me your whole family died, leaving you all alone, so you don't want to live anymore?"

But before he could finish, a black blur flashed past, and a sword came to rest against his neck. Kangetsu slowly raised his head, fixed his cold eyes on the apparent leader, and said icily, "If you want to die, keep talking!"

His voice seemed cold enough to freeze someone to death, casting a bitter chill over the small waiting room! Everyone stood dazed. None of them was particularly strong, and Kangetsu's shocking display left them more than a little frightened!
