The Four Clans

The Uchiha clan rules explicitly state that no one may prevent a clansman from heading to the battlefield. Originally, this clause was intended for those who had lost their most beloved and were seeking death, but now, it had become the reason for a six-year-old child to march to war.

Kangetsu, however, departed without a backward glance, his demeanor incredibly carefree, leaving behind a grieving family.

Uchiha Eiko, Kangetsu's mother, glared at Uchiha Tajima with eyes full of murderous intent. "Uchiha Tajima, listen to me. If anything happens to Kangetsu, I will never forgive you! This is all because of your damn paternal pride. You wanted to tame a son who was too clever and disobedient, and look where that got us—you've forced him onto the battlefield! If Kangetsu dies, I will kill you! I will kill you, you irresponsible father!"

Having said this, Uchiha Eiko turned and walked toward Uchiha Madara and the other two. It was clear that she was not only heartbroken but also terrified, fearing that her other three sons might also face danger.

Uchiha Tajima's eyes dimmed, his fists clenched tight. Watching Kangetsu's retreating figure, he whispered to himself, You must survive! You must survive!

Tajima's actions yesterday were intended to teach Kangetsu a lesson, fearing that his son's arrogant nature would lead to a great disaster later on. He never expected Kangetsu to demand to go to the front lines. Regret gnawed at him, leaving him to watch Kangetsu's departure in silence.

By now, Kangetsu had arrived at the Uchiha clan's assembly point, a place resembling a mission hall. Great clans like the Uchiha were frequently hired. For major nations, they would dispatch experts or even the entire clan, but for minor skirmishes where the enemy hadn't hired a powerful family, they would send those with lower strength.

When small nations hired the Uchiha and their enemies hired the Senju, both clans would dispatch lower-ranked fighters—if you sent a genin, I would send a genin. These were the unspoken rules of the Warring States period, and no one dared to break them lightly.

Kangetsu surveyed the chaotic, noisy hall and shifted his gaze toward the missions involving smaller nations. His eyes landed on a task concerning the Land of Bing.

The Land of Bing was not far from the Uchiha territory, likely near the Land of River from the original story. Their enemy was a nation called the Land of Heart, and the ninjas they had hired were from the Hagoromo Clan.

Upon seeing the name Hagoromo, Kangetsu immediately recalled the information he had on them. Literally, the name suggested they might be descendants of Otsutsuki Hamura. However, according to the Uchiha clan's records, the families descended from the brothers Otsutsuki Hagoromo and Otsutsuki Hamura were actually the Uchiha and Senju from Hagoromo's line, and the Uzumaki and Hyuga from Hamura's line.
