Tajitsuhime's veins bulged as she reached for Fei Shi's neck with her sharp claws.
"You're dead, brat!"
"Tajitsuhime, stop. Bring the trial-taker here."
A voice rang out. It sounded very old, and Fei Shi knew it belonged to the White Snake Sage.
The White Snake Sage, like the Great Toad Sage Gamarumaru of Mount Myoboku, had lived from Kaguya Otsutsuki's era until the present day. Her true form was a giant snake covered in white scales.
Fei Shi also knew that at this final step, the White Snake Sage would inject Natural Energy into his body, just as Tajitsuhime had.
This Natural Energy was extremely violent. If he could control it, he would master Ryūchi Cave's Sage Mode. If he failed, he would become food for the White Snake Sage.
Before long, Fei Shi and Orochimaru were brought before the White Snake Sage.
"Greetings, White Snake Sage."
Orochimaru bowed respectfully to her.
"Greetings, senior."
Fei Shi merely nodded.
Tagorihime and Ichikishimahime had already returned, while Tajitsuhime, who had long wanted to teach Fei Shi a lesson, was seething with rage.
"Impudent! How dare you fail to pay your respects to the White Snake Sage? You're asking for death!"
The old woman the White Snake Sage had transformed into lay on her elevated seat, looking benevolent.
"Enough. He's a powerful person on my level. You could say he's showing me plenty of respect, couldn't you, kid?"
An aura burst from the White Snake Sage and pressed down on Fei Shi.
Orochimaru couldn't even withstand the aftershock and was about to fall to his knees.
Fei Shi quickly activated the Tenseigan. His eyes turned a luminous blue as he entered Tenseigan Chakra Mode.
A surge of green chakra shot up from Fei Shi's body, quickly enveloping him from head to toe.
Fei Shi looked at the green covering his body and his green hair waving in the air. He couldn't help feeling... sick.
After all, no man liked that color, especially not on his head.
But now...
"Hm?"
A puzzled voice interrupted Fei Shi's inner monologue. It was the White Snake Sage.
"I've never seen those eyes before. Judging by their power, they should be no weaker than the Rinnegan. Not bad, kid."
Fei Shi looked back at the White Snake Sage, unsure what the old monster was up to.
"Don't be nervous. I'm only curious about your strength. I never expected the Ninja World to produce a young powerhouse like you. You reached the Six Paths Level before turning twenty. Given time, surpassing Hagoromo Otsutsuki and that other one wouldn't be impossible."
The White Snake Sage didn't lower her voice, and everyone present heard her clearly. The three Divine Princesses knew about Six Paths Level powerhouses, but Orochimaru didn't. He was wondering what level Six Paths Level actually was.
He also hadn't expected Fei Shi to possess such strange eyes.
He really wanted to... put him on the operating table and cut him into slices to study the power in his body.
Fei Shi's cells must be even stronger than the First's, Orochimaru thought.
Orochimaru resolved to find a way to get his hands on Fei Shi's cells.
"Now, come here. I'll inject Natural Energy into your body. If you can absorb it all, you'll learn Sage Mode."
"Let's get started!"
Fei Shi didn't bother with pleasantries and urged the White Snake Sage to begin.
The White Snake Sage stretched out her neck. Her white fangs sank into Fei Shi's neck as he sat cross-legged and began adjusting to the Natural Energy.
The White Snake Sage didn't watch Fei Shi. She had no reason to expect him to fail.
The entire Ryūchi Cave was within her perception, and she sensed traces of the Sage Modes of Shikkotsu Forest and Mount Myoboku on Fei Shi.
That meant the young man before her had already learned those two Sage Modes. With that experience, learning Ryūchi Cave's Sage Mode would be much easier.
Still, in all her years, she had never seen anyone master the Sage Modes of all Three Great Sage Regions.
At the thought, she looked at Fei Shi with renewed curiosity. Would this young man succeed? What changes might occur when three different Sage Modes gathered in one person?
Fei Shi's body was in trouble as he sat cross-legged.
The Natural Energy of Ryūchi Cave tore through his body like poison, scurrying around inside him like a mouse.
Meanwhile, his Sage Body constantly healed his injuries, while Fei Shi worked to control the power rampaging through him.
He struggled against the power in his body. Little by little, he gained control over it. But he still hadn't crossed the final threshold needed to make that power completely one with him.
Once he crossed that threshold, he would master Ryūchi Cave's Sage Mode.
But that wasn't the only problem he needed to solve.
Because the three Sage Modes were different, he could only use one at a time. To use another, he had to gather Natural Energy all over again.
So he needed to combine the strengths of all three Sage Modes and create an entirely new one, allowing him to benefit from all three at once.
After only two days, Fei Shi had controlled the Natural Energy of Ryūchi Cave within him.
Three days later, the features of Ryūchi Cave's Sage Mode appeared on Fei Shi.
He had two horns, and nine snake heads appeared on his back. The one in the middle had some features of a dragon. White snake scales covered his exposed skin, but they slowly began to change.
The White Snake Sage clicked her tongue in amazement. Even she hadn't expected Fei Shi to master Sage Mode so quickly, or to develop features of a dragon.
Fei Shi woke up just like that. As for the changes that came afterward, he felt something was still missing.
When he opened his eyes, he saw the three Divine Princesses staring at him in shock.
They had studied Sage Mode for so long and only just developed dragon-like features. Yet a human had made such incredible progress in just five days. It had truly startled them.
"You three, take him to the Dragon Transformation Pool."
The White Snake Sage spoke suddenly.
"The Dragon Transformation Pool?!"
They were startled once again.
Many people had come to Ryūchi Cave to learn Sage Mode over the years, and some had succeeded.
But no one had ever been qualified to enter the Dragon Transformation Pool. Even they would have a hard time getting in.
How could they not be shocked?
"Do as I say."
"Yes."
The three Divine Princesses bowed and led Fei Shi to a pool about five meters in diameter.
Fei Shi could sense the pure Natural Energy radiating from the pool. It was Natural Energy in liquid form.
"Be careful. The slightest mistake could make your body explode. Even we rarely get the chance to enter the Dragon Transformation Pool, and when we do, we proceed with extreme caution."
Tajitsuhime explained.
"Thank you."
Fei Shi thanked her, then jumped into the Dragon Transformation Pool.

They hadn't expected this human kid to be so bold. His earlier disrespect toward the White Snake Sage might have been overlooked by her.
