The door to the Hokage's office was shoved open.
The Anbu ninja on duty twitched at the corner of his mouth. This guy really was as disrespectful of the rules as ever.
"Ahem! Could you at least knock before coming in?"
Hiruzen Sarutobi, choking on smoke, grumbled without surprise.
Even Shimura Danzō, who didn't care about saving face, wasn't this rough when entering the Hokage's office. Even when he didn't knock, he wouldn't nearly break the door like this.
"Old man, what did you want me for? I'm really busy."
Hiruzen Sarutobi's face darkened.
"Busy? What are you busy with? Even when I send you on a mission, you just send a clone. When have you ever gone yourself?"
Fei Shi yawned and waved a hand.
"You don't understand. Everything I do is for the future of the Ninja World. I've even lost a few hairs over it. Sigh..."
"Heh!"
Hiruzen Sarutobi gave a cold laugh.
"Then take a look at me! I've been so busy I'm practically going bald, and you think losing a few hairs counts as being busy? Enough with the nonsense! Whatever important things you have to do, finish them within three days or put them off until later."
"Hm?"
Fei Shi was puzzled. He had no idea what the old man was up to. Whenever there had been something to do or a mission, he'd sent a clone, and the old man had never said a word. It looked like he couldn't send a clone this time.
"Old man, what is it?"
"I recommended you to the Daimyo Palace as the Fifth Hokage. They've heard plenty about your achievements, too. I'm worried they'll reject my request, so I'm taking you with me. With that face of yours, tsk, tsk, just sit
