March 7th stared at the little cube-shaped jellies, curiosity sparkling in her eyes:
"They look kind of cute, like wriggling blobs of jelly..."
She paused, then tilted her head and asked:
"Probably shouldn't ask this, but can you eat them?"
At that, the uniformed man looked a little frightened and hurriedly waved his hands.
"They're mischievous, but please don't hurt them."
"Okay..."
After chatting for a while, the group crossed another skybridge and continued toward the commercial center.
The streets grew wider, the shops more densely packed, and the crowds thicker.
In the distance, they could see the outline of a Ferris wheel, as well as roller coaster tracks winding through the buildings.
March 7th raised her head and stared at the enormous blue moon in the sky.
It was far larger than an ordinary moon, radiating a soft pale-blue glow.
The moon itself wore sunglasses and kept winking and smiling. One eye was shut, the other curved like a crescent, and its upturned lips gave it a playful expression.
"When the train flew through the sky, I saw it. That's the [Phantom Moon], right?" March 7th pointed skyward. "This is the Aeon of Joy's painting?"
Sparkle glanced at the Phantom Moon and spread her hands.
"Legend says the God of Merriment painted it personally, but who knows what's true and what isn't?"
"So..." March 7th pondered, her gaze lingering on the strange moon.
"Does Aha really watch the people participating in the [Phantom Moon Game] through that moon?"
"Hm?" Sparkle smiled knowingly, her eyes curving into sly crescents.
"You two bosses are interested in this Aeon game too?"
"Obviously." Yan Huan kept his hands in his pockets, his tone certain.
"The company went to all that trouble precisely to steer us into joining the Phantom Moon Game, didn't it?"
