Early morning.
As usual, Yan Huan lay spread-eagled on his bed, waiting for the King of Hell to come knocking.
"Knock knock knock knock knock—!!"
March 7th's voice rang out from outside the door.
"Get up and eat breakfast! We still have to go to the Space Station to test the Simulated Universe later!"
How nice.
Ever since he got on the train, he did not even need to set an alarm anymore.
"Whoosh—!!" Seeing that there was still no movement inside, March 7th simply yanked the door open.
She walked in.
The first thing that entered her view was clothes strewn all over the floor in complete disarray.
March 7th gave a hard kick, sending one slipper by the door flying back toward the bed, where it bumped into the other one.
"Holy crap, why is the other half of your slippers by the door?" March 7th asked, hands on her hips.
Yan Huan lay on the bed in silent resignation.
The glow of a screen reflected across his face. He was lying there, playing on his laptop.
Seeing no response from him, March 7th walked over curiously.
"Hey, what are you doing?"
She leaned over the bed and glanced at the screen. She immediately touched her face and cried out.
"Holy shit, Genshin!"
Yan Huan: "..."
Yan Huan closed the laptop and gave March 7th a long look. He silently threw off the blanket, got out of bed, and picked up the clothes from the floor.
Under March 7th's watchful gaze, he finally got dressed.
Throughout the entire process, March 7th sat quietly at the bedside and waited.
At the same time, she took out her phone and typed away. It looked like she was complaining to someone about Yan Huan's lifestyle.
When Yan Huan had finished dressing and the room went quiet, she slowly looked up and found him staring at her.
March 7th asked in confusion, "What?"
Yan Huan said, "You're sitting on my sunglasses."
"..."
March 7th stood up and looked back at where she had been sitting. Sure enough, there was a pair of sunglasses there.
Maybe because the bed was such a mess, she had not felt them when she sat down.
"Why are you wearing sunglasses? Afraid the sun will be too bright?"
"No." Yan Huan silently put on the sunglasses and said in an exceptionally pretentious tone,
"It makes me look cooler."
March 7th: "..."
In Yan Huan's mind, today was all about showing off, so naturally, he had to look presentable.
Wearing a black trench coat, sunglasses, and gloves, he strode through the observation car like some high-ranking agent.
Sitting on the sofa, when March 7th set his breakfast on the table, he even remembered to glance at his pocket watch.
"Three seconds late. Be more careful next time."
March 7th: "..."
Under the strange stares of everyone in the train car, he ate with extraordinary refinement and agonizing slowness.
One strand at a time, chewing carefully and savoring every bite.
It was obviously just a bowl of zhajiang noodles, yet he somehow made it feel like French cuisine.
Gentlemanly, slow-chewing, and outrageously affected.
As if he were sitting in an upscale Western restaurant with soothing, elegant music playing around him.
March 7th sniffed, then glanced outside at the researchers gathered beneath the train, waiting to receive Yan Huan.
Hold it in. I have to... hold it in. There are so many people watching down there. I can't hit him. I absolutely can't hit him today. Deep breaths, deep breaths, hoo... March 7th let out a deep breath.
Normally, Yan Huan could wolf down a bowl of zhajiang noodles in under a minute. Now, he had been eating for a full ten minutes.
There was still half the bowl left.
And he kept eating.
Another ten minutes passed, and a quarter of the zhajiang noodles still remained on his plate.
"Ding-dong—ding-dong—ding-dong—"
The notification sound on March 7th's phone kept ringing. It seemed the Space Station personnel were urging them along.
Since Yan Huan was eating zhajiang noodles and not replying, all the messages had been sent to March 7th instead.
March 7th hurriedly replied to them while urging the person on the sofa who was still chewing at a snail's pace.
"Big brother, can't you eat any faster?! We're already late according to the original schedule!"
Yan Huan turned a deaf ear and smiled.
"What's the rush? The emperor isn't worried, but the eunuch is. The protagonist always makes their entrance last."
March 7th's pink-and-blue eyes widened. "Seriously? You're eating a bowl of zhajiang noodles like it's French cuisine?"
Yan Huan merely shook his head.
"This is no longer an ordinary bowl of zhajiang noodles."
He looked at March 7th, his gaze blazing.
"This is the milestone that marks the beginning of my glorious life."
To March 7th's astonishment, Yan Huan suddenly sped up and quickly finished the remaining noodles.
He elegantly wiped his mouth with a handkerchief, stood up, and looked at the crowd outside.
He swept out one hand.
Then said in a deep voice,
"It's about time. Come on, follow Yan Huan and let's go see the world."
March 7th: "..."
Yan Huan shoved both hands into the pockets of his trench coat, its hem fluttering as he strode down from the train.
March 7th hurried after him.
Because they were testing the Simulated Universe today, Herta had also suddenly decided to display the research results on the public screens across the entire Space Station.
So many researchers had been given the day off specifically to witness Master Yan Huan's magnificence.
The moment he stepped off the train, the researchers receiving him outside said respectfully,
"Master Yan Huan, you've finally arrived!"
Yan Huan pushed up his sunglasses and expressionlessly swept his gaze over the researchers gathered in a circle.
With his hands clasped behind his back, he faced the heavens.
"Sorry to have kept you all waiting. It must have been hard, waiting here all this time."
The researchers had originally been rather unhappy about why Yan Huan had taken so long to come out.
But upon hearing those words, all their dissatisfaction instantly vanished.
"Not at all, haha! Master Yan Huan, you're too polite. Waiting a little is nothing."
"Exactly! For someone like you to personally test a Space Station project, we're immensely honored!"
"Even someone as powerful as Master Yan Huan uses the restroom?"
"Please give me your autograph!"
The crowd responded enthusiastically. Yan Huan shook hands with each of them, not missing a single person.
He looked exactly like a high-ranking leader who had come to inspect the place.
March 7th was dumbfounded. "This guy really knows how to put on an act."
Many familiar faces were among the researchers shaking his hand.
Kapote shook his hand. "Brother Yan Huan, do you remember me? Haha, you really stole the show today."
Yan Huan nodded politely. "Of course I remember. Young Master Bo, you seem a little out of sorts today."
Kapote waved a hand courteously. "Ah, it's just a few hardships, nothing more."
Then came the next person.
Rong Cangzhong shook his hand. "Brother Huan, do you remember me? Back then, you were protected by two Stellaron Hunters in the Containment Section. If you hadn't drawn their fire and made the Antimatter Legion line up to attack you, I would have really suffered. My injuries have healed now, and the supervisor who kept suppressing my thesis was reported by someone. It feels like my life is full of hope!"
Yan Huan smiled politely. "Of course I remember. Reporting him was the right call. Supervisors like that are the worst. I wish you a happy life."
Rong Cangzhong gave a deep bow. "Thank you, Brother Huan!"
Then came the next person.
Rocky shook his hand. "Brother Huan, do you remember me? That sword strike of yours caused changes in the magnetic field of the entire universe and stopped the starquake. If not for you, my girlfriend Leslie and I might never have seen each other again because of spacetime curvature. Thank you so much for stepping in on our behalf."
Yan Huan nodded politely. "I remember, I remember. You were the one shouting the loudest about how awesome I was that day."
Then came the next person.
Lamina shook his hand. "Mr. Yan Huan, I don't know if you still remember me. When I watched you deal with Shui Xiao, I gradually came to understand many things. I believe that only by having the courage to act, like you did, can one obtain the dignity that rightfully belongs to them. So that very day, I wrote a letter reporting my leader. Did I do the right thing?"
Yan Huan nodded politely.
"I remember, I remember. Reporting them was the right choice. The Space Station needs talents like you. Reforming the workplace starts with you."
Lamina gave a deep bow.
"Thank you for your guidance, Master Yan Huan. I'll definitely continue working hard!"
Watching all these people praise Yan Huan.
March 7th held her breath, covered her little face with both hands, and exclaimed in amazement,
"Is the person they're praising really the same person I know?"
Before you continue
