The Flies Were Back

Dr. Brief gave the man an expressionless look.

"Where's the Dragon Ball?" the big Black man asked again.

Dr. Brief handed the Dragon Ball back to him and said coldly, "All right, you can leave now. I don't want you disturbing my family's peaceful life."

"Hahaha, good, good!" The big Black man beamed. After a brief silence, his expression suddenly darkened. "I heard some brat here killed my men. Hand that kid over, and I'll leave immediately."

Dr. Brief glanced in surprise at the big Black man, then at Vegeta standing nearby. He hardly knew what to say.

But Dr. Brief quickly realized that these idiots hadn't recognized Vegeta.

"He's already left our house. He went that way." Dr. Brief smiled faintly and pointed in a random direction.

"Dr. Brief, lying has consequences!" Naturally, the big Black man didn't believe him. He smiled and demanded, "You say he went that way, so tell me, what was he going there for? If you can't answer, heh, you know what will happen."

"I heard the World Martial Arts Tournament is about to begin. He said he was going to compete. That's all." Dr. Brief smiled without betraying a thing.

"Oh? The World Martial Arts Tournament? He really doesn't know his limits!" The big Black man chuckled, then looked at Dr. Brief. "In that case, Doctor, please come back to Red Ribbon Army headquarters with us."

"What did you say? Didn't you say you'd leave immediately?" Dr. Brief's expression darkened.

"A genius like you is wasted out here in ordinary society, Doctor. Come to our military base instead, where you can realize more of your potential," the big Black man said with a smile. "Don't worry. Once you're there, as long as you work hard for the Red Ribbon Army, we won't treat you poorly."

"You..." Dr. Brief trembled with anger, unable to get another word out.

"Enough! Take him away!" the big Black man barked.

"I will not work for the Red Ribbon Army!" Dr. Brief refused firmly.

"Oh? I knew you'd say that, Doctor." Brimming with confidence, the big Black man let out an unrestrained laugh. "I've already prepared for that. I have a heavy bomb here, powerful enough to flatten your Capsule Corporation. If you don't come with me, hehe, we'll see what happens."

"You... you... you..." Dr. Brief's face changed dramatically. This man was utterly despicable!

By then, Vegeta had finally more or less steadied his breathing. At that critical moment, he darted over to the big Black man and hoisted him into the air.

The sight startled all the guards present, and they aimed their guns at Vegeta.

"Stay put, all of you, or I'll kill him!" Vegeta snorted coldly.
