Vegeta let out a cold snort, ignoring him.
"Yah!"
Mercenary Tao charged forward, his heart full of dreams.
"Bam!"
Vegeta kicked out, sending Mercenary Tao flying a great distance, carving a deep trench into the ground as he skidded.
All the guards were dumbfounded. Talk about a massive bluff—he'd claimed he would finish the kid in three moves. Instead, he'd been kicked away by that very child in a single strike.
Mercenary Tao sprang up with a kip-up, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, his face twisted and veins bulging on his forehead.
"Dodon Ray!"
Mercenary Tao let out a shout, and a beam of light shot from his index finger, heading straight for Vegeta.
Vegeta didn't panic; he swatted his hand, instantly dissipating the Dodon Ray into nothingness.
The sight made Mercenary Tao's eyes nearly pop out of their sockets, his already long, shocked face stretching even further.
"None of you are leaving here alive today." Vegeta was annoyed by these little flies. After speaking, he limped toward Mercenary Tao.
Although Vegeta's movements looked quite comical, no one could bring themselves to laugh.
Damn it, he was wrapped in bandages with his arm in a cast—how could someone so severely injured be this powerful? Was there even a way for them to survive?
"Mercy, have mercy!" Mercenary Tao's lips trembled as he fell to his knees before Vegeta, his right hand stealthily reaching behind his back, where a bomb had appeared.
"Hmph." Vegeta saw it all. He wasn't about to show any mercy, so he walked over and kicked Mercenary Tao square in the chest.
"Awoo..."
The man known as the world's number one assassin had just kicked the bucket.
Poor guy, he hadn't even had the chance to pull the pin on the bomb.
The rest of the crowd was terrified; with a shout, they scattered in every direction.
"All of you, die!"
Vegeta roared, a surge of powerful energy erupting from his body, sweeping the Red Ribbon Army guards into the sky.
"Boom!"
A blinding flare of light erupted from Vegeta, instantly turning the guards into smoke and dust.
"Whew..."
Taking a deep breath, Vegeta sat down on the ground. He had to admit, the battle had consumed a significant amount of his energy.
Flies might be small, but dealing with them—especially while injured—was still quite taxing.
"Little Bei, are you alright?" Dr. Brief hurried over and helped Vegeta up.
"I'm fine." Vegeta smiled and asked casually, "Doctor, do you know where the Red Ribbon Army headquarters is located?"
"Little Bei, what are you planning to do?" Dr. Brief asked in astonishment.
"Wipe them out, of course. It's too much trouble to keep these flies around," Vegeta said with a smile.
"Little Bei, last time you were... never mind, you shouldn't go." Dr. Brief shook his head.
"That was an accident. Tell me, where is their headquarters?" Vegeta waved his hand and asked again.
"Alright then. Once your injuries have healed, I will tell you where they are," Dr. Brief said with a bitter smile.
Vegeta thought it over. The Red Ribbon Army wasn't much of a threat anyway, and in his current state, even flying was a struggle. Waiting until he recovered to wipe them out was a perfectly reasonable choice.
Having made up his mind, Vegeta stopped dwelling on it and turned to go get some rest.

A blinding flare of light erupted from Vegeta, instantly reducing the guards to smoke and ash.
"Whew..."
Taking a deep breath, Vegeta plopped down onto the ground. He had to admit, the battle just now had drained a significant amount of his energy.
Flies might be small, but cleaning them up—especially while injured—was still quite taxing.
"Little Be, are you alright?" Dr. Brief hurried over and helped Vegeta to his feet.
"I'm fine." Vegeta smiled and asked casually, "Doctor, do you know where the Red Ribbon Army headquarters is located?"
"Little Be, what are you planning?" Dr. Brief asked in astonishment.
"To wipe them out, of course. Keeping these flies around is nothing but trouble," Vegeta said with a smile.
"Little Be, last time you were... never mind, you really shouldn't go." Dr. Brief shook his head.
"That was an accident. Tell me, where is their headquarters?" Vegeta waved his hand and asked again.
"Alright then, once your wounds have healed, I will naturally tell you where they are," Dr. Brief said with a bitter smile.
Vegeta thought it over. The Red Ribbon Army couldn't amount to much anyway, and in his current state, even flying was a struggle. Waiting until he had recovered to wipe them out seemed like a solid plan.
With his mind made up, Vegeta stopped fussing and turned to go rest.
A month later, Vegeta's injuries had completely healed. As he circulated the energy within his body, he was pleasantly surprised to find that his combat power had increased significantly.
Vegeta made a rough estimate: his current combat power had reached as high as 60,000.
Perhaps this was the reason why Saiyans experienced such a massive boost in power after surviving a brush with death.
Now that the Dragon Radar had been completed by Dr. Brief, Vegeta planned to set out and find the seven Dragon Balls on Earth.
However, before hunting for the Dragon Balls, Vegeta still felt that the Red Ribbon Army flies were a nuisance. If he didn't wipe them out, they might harass Bulma's family while he was away, which wouldn't be any fun at all.
Picking up the Dragon Radar to take a look, Vegeta quickly discovered that four of the Dragon Balls were gathered at a location about a thousand kilometers away.
Thinking it over, those four Dragon Balls were likely at the Red Ribbon Army headquarters.
Vegeta smiled; this was truly a case of killing two birds with one stone!
