"Impossible!"
Hearing Lin Chen admit he was a Saiyan, Vegeta waved a hand. "The only Saiyans left in this world are Kakarot, myself, and our sons. Where else could there be another?"
Watching Vegeta's disdainful expression, Lin Chen had to admit that compared to this grown-up Vegeta, the little Vegeta from his own world—who had begged to be his apprentice—was much cuter.
"You're both right and wrong. I am indeed not a Saiyan from this world; I come from another timeline."
"Another timeline?"
At these words, everyone froze. Most of them didn't quite grasp what Lin Chen meant, but they forgot that Bulma, a super genius, was present.
She squeezed over, cradling the infant Trunks in her arms.
"Another timeline? Are you a Saiyan from a parallel universe? Just like Trunks?"
"Bulma, stay away from him! This guy is still very suspicious!" Seeing his wife approaching, Vegeta immediately shouted.
Trunks also said nervously, "Mom, be careful!"
"It's fine! I don't think he's lying."
The Bulma of this world was just as carefree as the one in Lin Chen's world. She said to the future Trunks, "I don't think he's lying. Don't forget, Trunks, aren't you from a parallel timeline yourself?"
Trunks stood there, stunned.
It seemed his mother was right; wasn't he from a future in a parallel timeline?
Since that was the case, the appearance of a Saiyan from another parallel timeline didn't seem impossible after all.
"Hey, hey! How did you get to our world? Do you have a time machine too?" Bulma asked, full of curiosity.
Lin Chen replied, "I actually ended up here due to an accident, not a time machine. My Scouter happened to detect powerful individuals here, so I came to take a look. I didn't expect to run into all of you."
Seeing the group's current state, Lin Chen realized they were holding a cherry blossom viewing party, and the time he had crossed over was likely just shortly before the events of the Super Battle.
In the plot of Super Battle, Paragus appeared during a cherry blossom viewing party.
Lin Chen suspected that Paragus could appear at any moment, so he didn't intend to explain too much.
Fortunately, most of the people present—aside from Bulma—were either obsessed with training or only cared about food and beautiful women. Since Bulma's personality was also quite easygoing, she didn't press the issue when Lin Chen kept things brief.
Thus, everyone quickly stopped dwelling on Lin Chen's origins.
On the contrary, Son Gohan and the others warmly invited Lin Chen, the traveler from another dimension, to join their party. Son Gohan even mentioned that when his father arrived, he would introduce Lin Chen to him.
The party resumed, and everyone lay on the grass, starting a karaoke session.
The tsundere Vegeta retreated to the side once more, leaning against a tree with his eyes closed to rest.
Everything was exactly as Lin Chen remembered from the plot of Super Battle.
Knowing that Paragus would arrive soon, Lin Chen wasn't in a hurry to find Broly; he intended to let the plot unfold naturally.
Besides, being able to chat with these familiar characters was a rare experience for Lin Chen.
After all, many of them hadn't been born yet or were still children in his own timeline, and he was most familiar with them at this very age.
As Krillin began to sing, Lin Chen took the opportunity to ask Gohan about the situation in this timeline, using the excuse of wanting to learn more about the Saiyans on Earth.
As a result, Lin Chen discovered that this parallel timeline was indeed different from the Dragon Ball world he knew.
If the original Dragon Ball world Lin Chen knew was the "Main World," then his own world was a parallel version of it.
And this world, like Lin Chen's, was yet another parallel world distinct from the Main World.
In this world, the Cell Games never happened.
Although the Androids and Cell had appeared one after another, the story diverged from the main Dragon Ball timeline after Cell absorbed Android 17.
In this world, to defeat Android 17 and 18, Vegeta, Son Goku, and the others had all entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, gaining power that surpassed the Super Saiyan level.
Consequently, when Cell reached his second form, Vegeta didn't allow him to absorb Android 18 as he had in the Main World; instead, he finished him off directly.
From that point on, the story changed.
Because there was no Perfect Cell in this world, there was no Cell Games. Humanity never learned that such a terrifying monster existed, so the world remained at peace, just as Lin Chen saw now.
So that's how it was...
After listening to Gohan's explanation, Lin Chen solved a mystery that had long puzzled him.
When he watched Super Battle in the past, he couldn't understand why, if the timeline was supposed to be ten days before the Cell Games, Vegeta and the others would travel all the way to the South Galaxy when a decisive battle was looming and a powerful enemy like Cell was waiting.
And why, with the world supposedly ending, were people on Earth still lining up to sign their children up for cram schools?
It turned out it was all because Cell had died long ago...
"Trunks, so your father is actually a savior?" Lin Chen couldn't help but ask Trunks, who was standing nearby.
The latter lowered his head, blushing, not knowing how to answer.
At that moment, Bulma laughed and said, "Even if he is a savior, he's a guy who can't even sing well. Do you know why he's hiding over there? It's because he feels he doesn't sing as well as Krillin and is embarrassed."
"Hahaha!"
The others burst into laughter.
"Bulma!" Vegeta suddenly jumped out from behind a cherry tree, shouting in annoyance.
Just then, the sky above them suddenly darkened, and a massive spaceship appeared before their eyes.
It's here!
Lin Chen's eyes lit up instantly.
The others stood up one after another, their faces full of caution.
"Trunks! Is there someone on that ship?" Gohan asked.
"Yes, it seems there is a Saiyan on board!" Trunks nodded.
"Hmph! What is going on today? Why has another Saiyan appeared? Lynx, is he a friend of yours?" Vegeta asked, his arrogant expression returning.
"No, I don't recognize this ship or the Saiyan on it," Lin Chen replied.
Amidst the group's discussion, the spaceship finally landed on the grass not far from them. Immediately after, a large group of aliens clad in purple armor stepped out of the craft and sprinted toward them.
