Time flew by, and five years passed in the blink of an eye.

On the alien planet known as Namek, a towering column of water suddenly surged up from the surface of the ocean.

A gigantic sea beast was propelled from the ocean floor high into the air by the column of water. After soaring more than a thousand meters above the sea, it plunged back down.

Just then, a black-haired boy with a tail and youthful features burst out of the depths. He slammed headfirst into the beast, instantly ending the life of the already dying creature.

The boy then lifted the beast and flew toward the shore.

There, Nail, the strongest of the Namekians, stood with his arms crossed, gazing straight at the approaching boy.

"Uncle Nail, I won! You don't have to worry about me going berserk anymore, right?" the boy said with a grin, holding up the beast.

"Broly, I saw. You can control your anger now. That's good," Nail replied impassively.

Though his tone was cold, his words were full of concern.

After all, as Broly's guardian, Nail had lived with him for five years.

Watching Broly toss the beast's carcass onto the shore, then start a fire and roast the meat, Nail couldn't help thinking back to five years ago.

Five years earlier, a Saiyan named Lynx, who had once lived on Namek for a time, had brought one-year-old Broly before the Grand Elder.

The Saiyan had not only asked the Namekians to raise Broly, but had also requested the use of the Dragon Balls.
