Background / History

Frieza arrives at Planet Vegeta intending to destroy it, unaware that Lin Chen has organized the Saiyans into a rebellion. While the Saiyan army draws the Frieza Force into battle as Great Apes, Lin Chen suppresses his ki, infiltrates Frieza's ship, and ambushes Frieza in Great Ape form. Lin Chen's shockwave engulfs Frieza and destroys his flagship before Frieza can transform 3 4.

Frieza survives the attack despite being believed dead. King Cold's forces recover and reconstruct him through advanced technology, but the rebuilt body makes transformation agonizing and leaves him dependent on mechanical components. Once restored, Frieza resumes hostilities against the Saiyan peacekeeping force 5 32 35.

Seeking revenge, Frieza orchestrates an ambush on Tiwei Planet. Hanasia's Saiyan unit devastates the invading Frieza Force and nearly defeats him, forcing Frieza to destroy the entire planet with a Planet Destroyer Bomb. The attack kills Hanasia, her comrades, and Frieza's own troops stationed on the planet 33 34.

Lin Chen confronts Frieza in the remains of Tiwei Planet. Frieza's Death Beams and later his final form fail to harm the Super Saiyan. After Frieza attempts to flee aboard his ship, Lin Chen destroys the vessel with an Instant Transmission Kamehameha, leaving Frieza mutilated but still alive. Frieza begs for mercy, then taunts Lin Chen over Hanasia's death; Lin Chen kills him with Frieza's own Death Beam technique, completely vaporizing his remains 34 35 36 37.
