The Reason

Up ahead, Laila didn't deny what Kast had said. The truth was exactly as he described it.

As early as a year ago, Kast's strength had already begun to rival hers.

And now, just as Kast had said, if she kept trying to stop him, he would strike without hesitation.

He meant what he said. That was something Laila had learned during the years they'd spent together.

But Laila still couldn't let Kast leave. It wasn't just because of their agreement; there were other reasons, too.

Watching Kast's tremendous potential had gradually made Laila's original plan seem unnecessary. She already had a warrior with limitless potential right in front of her; there was no need to take the longer route of creating life from blood and genes. She could simply ask Kast to help.

The second reason was Kast's charm. Yes, after spending several years together, his determination, perseverance, and other qualities had drawn her to him. On top of that, Kast was handsome enough, and as time went by, Laila couldn't help developing a little affection for him.

Because of this, Laila had gradually given up on her original idea. And with Kast always by her side, his company had slowly filled the emptiness in her heart.

So Laila, who had thought Kast could stay here forever, was suddenly unable to accept it when he said he was leaving.

That was why, even though Laila wasn't Kast's match now, she still didn't want to let him go.

Although Kast had now reached the peak of the first Super Saiyan stage, he still couldn't advance to Super Saiyan 2 anytime soon.

To be honest, it had taken Kast eight years to reach the peak of Super Saiyan 1, which was a long time. After all, Son Goku and Vegeta had both reached their peak in about three years after transforming into Super Saiyans.

Compared with them, Kast's progress had taken a lot longer.
