"Here it comes!"
With a sharp whistle of displaced air, Kast appeared before Korin.
"Master Korin, I presume?" Though phrased as a question, the tone was certain. Kast descended to the ground, his gaze fixed on the white cat before him.
"Indeed. And you are?"
Though surprised to find a boy of only six years standing before him, Korin dared not show the slightest bit of contempt.
Korin could sense a formidable power lurking within Kast's body—a power that, if unleashed, could easily wreak catastrophic destruction upon this Earth.
It was truly unimaginable how such immense energy could be contained within such a small, youthful frame.
"My name is Kast. Who I am is irrelevant; what matters is that you possess something I require." With that, Kast began to walk toward Korin.
"You require something from me?" Watching the boy approach, a bead of cold sweat couldn't help but form on Korin's white feline face.
"Yes." Stopping in front of Korin, Kast extended a hand. "I know you possess a miraculous bean. It is said that eating just one can sustain a person for ten days, and it also possesses restorative and regenerative properties."
"I need you to gift me some."
"..."
Hearing Kast's request, Korin felt a wave of relief. As long as the boy wasn't here to cause destruction, everything else was negotiable. Not bothering to ask how Kast knew about the Senzu Beans, Korin remained silent for a moment before replying.
"Very well. However, the yield of Senzu Beans is not high. Over the past few hundred years, I have only managed to save a few jars, and I must keep some for my own use. For now, I can only give you one jar." As he spoke, something occurred to Korin, and he looked at Kast to emphasize: "Though I do not know how you learned of the Senzu Beans, I must warn you: while they can heal severe wounds and regenerate limbs, there are things they cannot do! Specifically..."
"You mean they cannot cure illnesses, correct?"
Before Korin could continue, Kast stepped in, preemptively stating the limitation.
"...Yes."
It seems this boy is truly well-informed about the Senzu Beans! Thinking this, Korin said no more. He turned and pointed his staff toward several jars stored in a corner nearby. "Since you already know, I shall say no more. Those are the jars containing the Senzu Beans. You may take one."
Following Korin's directions, Kast arrived at the storage spot.
Looking at the unassuming gray jars before him, Kast knew he had obtained what could be called the most powerful item in the Dragon Ball world! Especially for someone like him, a Saiyan!
Yes, the most powerful. It wasn't the Dragon Balls; it was the Senzu Bean. For the Saiyan race, a warrior species, the utility of a Senzu Bean far exceeded that of the Dragon Balls. The Dragon Balls required a one-year cooldown, whereas a Senzu Bean could be used at any moment—as long as one wasn't dead, eating one would produce an instantaneous effect.
This was especially true given the Saiyan trait: the ability to gain a massive increase in strength after recovering from the brink of death.
While the gains might diminish later in life, at the very least, before transforming into a Super Saiyan, this trait would allow Kast to save a vast amount of time.
"Excellent!"
Opening the jar, Kast looked at the green beans inside. At a glance, they looked just like peas, both in appearance and size.
Though they looked plain, Kast knew they were indeed Senzu Beans.
Reaching out, Kast picked one up and placed it in his mouth.
With a crisp crunch, Kast easily bit through the bean.
Gulp.
The moment he swallowed it, Kast immediately felt a change in his physical body!
Thump, thump. As his muscles surged, Kast clearly felt his physical fatigue vanish. His entire body was flooded with power, placing him in his absolute peak state!
"Haa!"
Unable to help himself, he released his energy, and a powerful pressure instantly radiated outward!
"This—this—this!!"
Feeling that massive surge of energy, the fur all over Korin's body stood on end!
What terrifying energy! I never expected his true strength to be this great! I fear there is no one on this Earth who could stand against him. Now, I only hope he takes his things and leaves as soon as possible.
Feeling his energy swell, Kast didn't use a scouter; he estimated it himself.
"My combat power is around 1600. About 100 higher than when I first arrived on Earth. Truly excellent—a fine treasure indeed!"
As a Saiyan, he was only six years old; he was currently in a period of rapid growth, which was also a time when his power would surge.
Although Kast had spent the year of space travel in hibernation, his body had not stopped growing. With the maturation of his physical form, the energy within him had also been steadily increasing.
While Kast hadn't performed a scan on himself when he first arrived on Earth, the increase in his power was undeniable.
Even though it had only grown by a few hundred over the course of a year, Kast was quite satisfied.
After all, when Kast was first born, his combat power was only 10. He couldn't be compared to those geniuses!
As for the 100-point increase in combat power after eating the Senzu Bean, Kast had a rough idea why.
Since birth, Kast had been sent to a remote, desolate planet. There, aside from his infancy, he had engaged in constant combat as he grew older.
Where there is combat, there is inevitably some degree of physical damage! Even if it wasn't visible on the surface, there were certainly internal issues.
By eating the Senzu Bean, Kast had instantly healed those hidden injuries.
Given the Saiyan trait of becoming stronger after recovering from injury, it wasn't hard to imagine why his combat power had jumped by over 100.
"Very well, Master Korin. I shall take the Senzu Beans now." Nodding in satisfaction, Kast suppressed his energy and spoke to Korin, who had retreated a few steps.
"Before I leave, I have a piece of advice for you: keep one jar for your daily needs and store the rest of the Senzu Beans away. Do not use them unless absolutely necessary, and do not squander them on others. Of course, this is just a suggestion offered in light of our friendly cooperation; whether you choose to follow it is for you to consider in your own time. However, if you do as I say, believe me, there will come a day in the future when you will be grateful to me."
Having said this, he emitted a white current of energy from his right hand, using Kast's precise control to envelop the jar of Senzu Beans nearby.
"Farewell then, Korin."
As his voice faded, Kast had already departed through the window with the Senzu Beans, transforming into a streak of light as he soared toward the sky.
