Hello everyone, this chapter is a special one I've put together just for you, my readers!
I have a lot to say to all of you! I'm a complete newcomer, so if there's anything lacking in this book, please speak up and offer your suggestions! I originally intended to just write something simple to test the waters, but to my surprise, I ended up getting signed! Although the word count for my updates these past two days hasn't been high, I do have a real-life job to manage! The character traveling through the worlds in this book is actually me.
I'm not a professional writer, and since I've just started, the response hasn't been great—perhaps because the word count is still low and I haven't received any recommendations yet. All I can do is promise to keep my updates as steady as possible and ensure I don't leave the story unfinished!
After all, this is my first work, the first time I've dared to dream big and take action! I definitely won't give up, and I never started this to make a fortune! I've read so many Dragon Ball fanfics, and they either end after very few chapters or the protagonist suddenly jumps to another world while things are going well in the Dragon Ball universe. I understand why—the anime is only so long, after all!
I want to write a work that surprises every Dragon Ball fan! I'm planning to write at least two million words, or perhaps more, depending on how far I can go! I have no plans to jump to other worlds, but if you readers want me to explore other settings, just leave a comment below!
Who knows, if the response is good once this book is finished, I might write a series based on KO One! I'm a long-time fan and still follow the series today. Any other fans out there?
If you have any good suggestions, please try to leave them in the comments. I'm still a novice, after all! If the response is enthusiastic later on, I'll set up a group for us to discuss things together!
I've written these few dozen chapters, and I re-read them every day to fix what doesn't work. I don't dare forget the plot holes I've created, and I will fill them one by one later on! However, in this kind of simple, fast-paced "power fantasy," there aren't really that many holes to dig. Perhaps my writing style is just too poor to craft truly brilliant chapters, so I can only follow the original plot and make gradual changes. I won't be changing too much in the early stages! Sometimes I worry about what I'll write once the Dragon Ball Super plot concludes—will I be able to keep going? I suppose I'll just have to take it one step at a time.
I believe everyone enjoys reading about Bulma, but writing her character is incredibly exhausting. My drafts keep getting rejected by the censors, forcing me to revise them over and over! The scenes I have in my head are impossible to write out; I have to prioritize meeting the submission standards.
I've been a reader for over a decade, which is why I wanted to try writing myself! I've had this idea for a long time but was always afraid to put it into practice, fearing that once I sat at the keyboard, I wouldn't be able to write a single thing.
To my surprise, once I started, it felt natural and the ideas flowed like a fountain! Although my cultural foundation is low and I lack sophisticated adjectives, I'm working hard. In my spare time these past two days, I've been reading classic essays to improve my prose and try to depict more exciting plotlines!
I hope you'll all support me! If you can send some gifts, that would be even better, but even without them, I'll keep a steady mindset and continue updating. After all, this is my dream!
If I have free time, I might burst out four or five chapters in a day, but when I'm busy, I'll still ensure a steady update of two chapters every day before I go to sleep! I won't limit the word count; I'll just write as the inspiration comes. Like yesterday's chapter, which was over 5,000 words! My usual chapters will generally stay above 2,000 words.
Alright, that's all I wanted to say! Since this is quite long, I decided to make it a separate chapter. If you find it annoying, feel free to skip to the next chapter—though, of course, the next chapter won't be updated until tomorrow! Haha.
