Then the five of them each boarded a spherical spaceship.

"There are five spherical mini-spaceships here in total," Vegeta said. "Leave one for me and take the other four."

There were five of us here, not including His Highness Vegeta.
How were five of us supposed to share four spaceships?
"Uh... we're one ship short," Nappa said with an awkward smile.
