"Ladies and gentlemen, the World Martial Arts Tournament has officially concluded today. Thank you all for coming. Please be careful on your way home, and we shall see you at the next tournament!"
With the conclusion of the World Martial Arts Tournament, the crowd in the arena began to disperse, and the once bustling scene gradually grew quiet.
As the sun set, Ziye, Goku, Krillin, Yamcha, and Master Roshi walked out of the venue together into the dusk. Seeing them, Bulma ran over and said excitedly, "Congratulations, Ziye, on winning the championship!"
"Thank you!"
Ziye chuckled, nodded, and replied.
"By the way, I just received my prize money. Let me treat everyone to dinner tonight!" Ziye suddenly said with a smile.
"Awesome!"
"Great, finally something to eat!"
Goku said, drooling.
Afterward, led by Ziye, the group arrived at a high-end buffet restaurant. Ziye wasn't foolish; the 500,000 prize money wouldn't be enough to cover Goku's appetite elsewhere, so this was naturally the best choice.
The group began to eat heartily in the buffet restaurant. Goku's appetite completely stunned everyone, even alarming the restaurant's owner and manager. However, since they were open for business, they had to grit their teeth and feed the bottomless pit that was Goku. When they saw the 400,000 Ziye left behind upon checkout, the ugly expressions on their faces eased slightly.
After dinner, everyone returned to their respective inns to rest. The next morning, they gathered once more to bid their final farewells.
"What are your plans now? Are you going back to continue your training?" Yamcha asked curiously, looking at the three of them.
"Of course!"
Krillin nodded and said.
Hearing this, Master Roshi shook his head repeatedly, refusing, "No, no, no. I have nothing left to teach you!"
"From now on, you must walk your own paths!"
"Yes."
The three nodded and agreed.
"In that case... I'm going to search for the Dragon Balls my grandfather left behind!" Goku said, rubbing his head.
"Goku, you're still going to search for the Dragon Balls?"
Hearing Bulma's question, Goku nodded earnestly.
"Yeah! They are the only mementos my grandfather left me!"
Bulma stopped trying to dissuade him. Instead, she leaned in close to Ziye, touched her flushed cheeks, and said shyly, "Ziye, what are your plans now? Do you want to come visit my house? It's very big!"
Hearing Bulma's words, Ziye was silent for a moment, then shook his head and said with a smile, "Sorry, Bulma, maybe next time! I want to go out and explore on my own for a while. I'll come find you when I have time, okay?"
"Hmph, suit yourself!" Ziye's answer clearly left Bulma unsatisfied; she pouted, looking unhappy.
Seeing this, Ziye couldn't help but shake his head with a wry smile. Although he understood Bulma's feelings for him, she was only seventeen years old. Even if he had the heart for it, he couldn't bring himself to act on it.
"Krillin, what about you?" Ziye turned to ask Krillin.
"I want to stay by Master Mutten's side for a while longer!" Krillin replied after a moment of thought.
Hearing this, Master Roshi was stunned and immediately refused, "No... there's no need for that. You can stand on your own two feet now; there's no need to follow me anymore."
"No! I'm not mature enough yet; I can't stand on my own!" Krillin said with a determined look.
"This... alright then!"
Hearing this, Master Roshi couldn't refuse any longer and agreed against his better judgment. He then muttered to himself, "Damn it, I was hoping to have some alone time with Launch!"
"Ziye, are you coming with me to find the Dragon Balls, or are you going out to explore on your own?" Goku walked over to Ziye and asked, puzzled.
"I want to go out and see the world for myself. Everyone, let's meet again if fate allows!"
With that, Ziye waved at the group, hailed a taxi, and drove off into the distance.
Watching Ziye's receding figure, Bulma felt a stir of emotion. She cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted, "Hey, make sure you come find me in West City when you have time!"
"I'm off, too!"
"Flying Nimbus!"
Seeing Ziye leave, Goku took the Dragon Ball Radar from Bulma, sat on the Flying Nimbus, and soared into the sky.
After bidding farewell to the others, Ziye relied on the fragments of his past-life memories. After inquiring along the way and traveling for over a month, he finally found the location of Korin Tower.
"Finally found the right spot!"
Ziye looked up at the giant tower that pierced the clouds and let out a long breath.
"Who are you?"
Suddenly, a voice rang out behind Ziye. He turned slowly to see a burly man standing there with tan skin, holding a spear. Beside him stood a young boy dressed in similar attire, staring at him with a serious expression.
"I mean no harm. I just came to challenge this Korin Tower," Ziye said calmly.
"So that's it! Legend has it that whoever climbs this tower can gain power many times over," the man said, looking at the towering structure with a moved expression.
"I tried to challenge it when I was young, but I couldn't even see the end of the tower! Young man, you'd better go back," the man advised kindly.
"Don't worry, I'm confident!"
Ziye said firmly.
Having said that, Ziye bent his knees slightly, then stomped hard against the ground. His body instantly shot thirty meters into the air, where he tightly gripped the pillar of Korin Tower and began to climb rapidly!
"Daddy, that big brother looks so amazing!"
This scene left the burly man too shocked to speak. It was his first time seeing someone jump so high, and he nodded repeatedly in admiration, saying, "Yeah, maybe he really can succeed!"
After climbing for nearly thirty minutes, Ziye finally caught sight of the top of the tower. His expression grew excited, and he summoned all his remaining strength to make a final dash upward!
"Is this the top of Korin Tower? Strange, why is there no one here?"
Ziye looked at the empty surroundings and spoke with a puzzled expression.
His gaze then locked onto three strange jars not far away. He walked over slowly and casually lifted the lid off one of them.
He leaned in to look, only to see clear water inside the jar. The next second, faint ripples appeared on the surface, and suddenly, a blurry image emerged within the water, gradually becoming clear.
"Holy crap!"
Upon seeing the image inside the jar, Ziye let out a curse.
