Standing before Huo Yuhao's stall was a girl with a well-developed figure. Though she appeared to be only fourteen or fifteen, her long legs were flawless, and the black dress she wore perfectly accentuated her slender, tall frame. The buds on her chest, while not large, were already beginning to take shape.
Looking further up, the girl's features were stunning, with a cascade of long black hair draped behind her.
Despite her young age, she exuded a subtle, enchanting charm.
"No, this is my dinner. I need to eat it myself. You should come back next time."
Unexpectedly, Huo Yuhao shook his head, decisively rejecting the girl's request.
Jiang Nannan was taken aback, clearly not having anticipated a refusal. A faint blush rose to her cheeks as she said apologetically, "I'm sorry, little brother, I didn't know this was your dinner."
"Although there's no more grilled fish, I still have milk tea. Would you like to buy a cup to try?" Huo Yuhao didn't mind, continuing to pitch his milk tea.
"Alright, I'll have a cup then." Jiang Nannan nodded.
"Kid, you dare refuse to sell?" Just then, a deep, angry voice rang out, and a young man in black appeared abruptly behind Jiang Nannan.
A golden light flew straight toward Huo Yuhao. Huo Yuhao let out a cold snort, his hand flickered, and he caught the object: it was a Gold Soul Coin.
Immediately after, the young man in black strode up to Huo Yuhao's grill and reached out to grab the last remaining piece of fish without a hint of courtesy.
Although Huo Yuhao hadn't activated his Sharingan, his reflexes were nothing to sneeze at.
Even though the youth's hand was fast, Huo Yuhao grabbed his wrist first, preventing him from moving an inch further.
At this moment, Huo Yuhao saw the youth clearly: he was tall and broad-shouldered, with thick eyebrows, large eyes, and a short, clean-cut hairstyle.
The young man in black stared at Huo Yuhao in astonishment, clearly not expecting such a quick reaction. His face immediately flushed a deep red, clearly humiliated by making a scene in front of the person he admired.
"Kid, you've got fast reflexes, but you're courting death!" The youth roared, and a massive phantom of a Mystic Turtle appeared behind him. His martial soul wasn't fully manifested, but his aura had already surged.
With his aura flared, he shook his right hand, forcing Huo Yuhao's grip away, and then struck out with a palm, shattering the entire grill into pieces.
In an instant, wood chips flew and sparks scattered, and the last piece of grilled fish fell to the ground.
Huo Yuhao had already stepped back as soon as the youth's aura surged, avoiding the shockwave of the strike.
He looked at the shattered stall on the ground, his expression cold as he stared at his opponent.
The exchange between the two was as swift as a rabbit and as sudden as a falling crane.
Only then did the surrounding crowd snap out of their daze.
Jiang Nannan shouted angrily, "Stop that right now!"
The young man in black's expression shifted instantly, turning fawning. "Nannan, this kid doesn't know his place. I'm just teaching him a lesson for you."
Jiang Nannan's face showed clear disgust as she said, "Xu Sanshi, don't call me that so familiarly. I have nothing to do with you. I don't need your help with anything. Please stay away from me; you're disgusting."
"Nannan, I..." Xu Sanshi stood frozen, at a loss for what to do.
"Xu Sanshi, is it? Do you know there's a rule for buying my grilled fish?" Huo Yuhao interrupted their conversation from the side.
"What rule?" Xu Sanshi blinked.
"Simps don't pay, but softies pay extra. You gave me a Gold Soul Coin—does that mean you're a softie?" Huo Yuhao sneered, mocking him.
"Bastard, kid, what do you mean by that?" Xu Sanshi's eyes blazed with fire. Even if he didn't understand the slang, he knew "simp" and "softie" weren't compliments.
Huo Yuhao didn't answer. Instead, as if by magic, he produced a cup of freshly made milk tea and handed it to Jiang Nannan. "That will be one Silver Soul Coin, thank you."
"Oh, oh, right." Jiang Nannan snapped out of it and dazedly handed Huo Yuhao a Silver Soul Coin.
"I'm sorry, little brother. I'll pay for the damage to your stall..." Jiang Nannan said apologetically, her eyes showing a hint of heartache.
Huo Yuhao shook his head. "The damage to the stall has nothing to do with you. Every debt has its debtor; I will collect from the one responsible."
"Hmph, Nannan, don't pay him any mind. What are these pieces of junk worth? The Gold Soul Coin I gave him is enough to buy several more stalls," Xu Sanshi scoffed.
"Unfortunately, my stall is different. It was crafted from ten-thousand-year-old pine wood from the core of the Star Dou Great Forest by the world's greatest master craftsman. Add in my lost wages and emotional distress, and it'll be ten thousand Gold Soul Coins," Huo Yuhao said calmly.
"You're full of it! Ten thousand Gold Soul Coins? Kid, are you trying to scam me? What if I don't pay?" Xu Sanshi's face turned ugly, his voice dropping low.
"You won't pay? That makes things even simpler." Huo Yuhao smiled, his gaze shifting from calm to icy.
On the other side, on the streets of Shrek City.
Two stunning women were looking around the street, seemingly searching for someone, drawing curious glances from passersby.
"Where did that kid run off to? He disappeared in the blink of an eye. How long are we going to be searching like this? Sister Lexuan, with your cultivation and spiritual power, can't you find him?"
Han Ruoruo had been wandering around Shrek City for half the day without finding a trace of Huo Yuhao, and she complained irritably to Zhang Lexuan.
Zhang Lexuan rolled her eyes at her. "This is Shrek City. Who knows how many powerful seniors reside here? If I spread my spiritual power recklessly and offend one of them, what then?"
"Oh, right. Then what do we do?" Han Ruoruo asked, suddenly realizing.
Zhang Lexuan sighed. "There's no other way. We'll have to return to the academy first. I remember him saying he was going to enroll in Shrek Academy. We can just keep an eye on the freshman assessment area for the next two days."
"That's all we can do, I suppose." Han Ruoruo nodded.
"Quick, look! There's a fight over at the snack street, and one of them is a Shrek student!"
"Really? Who's the opponent?"
"I heard it's just a snack stall owner. This is getting interesting—a Shrek outer court student versus a snack vendor. This should be worth watching."
Just then, a discussion between two passersby caught the attention of Zhang Lexuan and Han Ruoruo.
Zhang Lexuan frowned, "Outer Court students fighting outside the school? There should be patrol teams from our academy in the city. Getting caught means expulsion, so who is bold enough to do this?"
Han Ruoruo's eyes lit up, and she said excitedly, "Sister Lexuan, let's go take a look. It's been years since the academy had any fun like this. Since we happened to run into it, we absolutely have to go see."
Zhang Lexuan shook her head helplessly, and the two headed toward the direction where the crowd was gathering.
A moment later, they arrived at the snack street on the outskirts of Shrek Academy.
The usually bustling snack street was now packed with people, jammed solid, as the onlookers formed a large circle.
There were residents of Shrek City, students of Shrek Academy, and even some snack vendors who were currently shouting out their wares, happy to watch the chaos unfold.
"Melon seeds, drinks, and small stools! Fair prices, no haggling!"
"Boss, do you have popcorn?" a Shrek student asked.
"Yes, yes, I do."
Both Zhang Lexuan and Han Ruoruo possessed cultivation, so they easily made their way to the front row of the circle.
Upon seeing the two people in the center of the ring, their pupils constricted sharply.
At the very center of the circle, two people stood facing each other, having assumed their stances and preparing to clash.
One of them was a young man dressed in black; he was tall and wore an expression of fury.
Opposite him stood a very young boy with black hair and black eyes, handsome in appearance, dressed in simple clothing, and wearing a calm expression.
It was none other than Huo Yuhao, whom the two had been searching for for so long!
