Yesterday, I got a notice from my editor: this book would be going premium tomorrow, the first.
First of all, I want to thank all the readers for your support. I'm a newcomer with a new book, and without your encouragement, I'd be nothing.
Next, I want to thank my editor, Orange. She's so kind. It's not easy to find an editor willing to give me a hand when I'm writing my first book, and I'm truly grateful.
Since the book is going premium, let's talk about it.
First, the story to come.
You can probably tell that by now, this book has established itself as an anti-Shrek, anti-God-King story.
The protagonist's relationship with Shrek is fractured, with tensions simmering beneath the surface. Given Sasuke's character, he'll definitely defect later on.
But I'll do my best to make sure this conflict erupts in a believable way. It'll also be the climax of the first major arc.
Although this book is anti-Shrek, it won't blindly fawn over the other side, whether that's the Sun Moon Empire, the Holy Spirit Cult, or the Body Sect.
Sasuke is proud by nature, so he won't throw in his lot with any faction completely. Later on, the protagonist will found his own faction, and eventually kick off a great war in the Shinobi World—oh, wait, a great war in Douluo.
I'll leave it there for now and avoid spoiling too much.
Now, about the characters.
Some readers have said that this book takes a lot of liberties with the source material and changes the personalities of certain characters.
I want to say that, after all, this is fanfiction. Honestly, if nothing changed at all, it'd feel a little shameless. I'd rather build my own story on the foundation of the original.
And I did say
