That was very strange! Axis had a ton of questions, but he didn't dare ask them, because there were remnants of an interstellar civilization here.
And the fact that it shared so much with Earth gave Axis a bad feeling. The planet resembled not the Earth of the Dragon Ball World, but the Earth he had come from!
Axis had looked up at the skies over Fenris and spotted constellations that could once only be seen from Earth, such as the Large Magellanic Cloud, the Small Magellanic Cloud, and the Big Dipper.
Did that mean this place wasn't very far from Earth? And the planet's name was Fenris—the name of the wolf from Norse mythology.
When they had fled aboard a spaceship, Axis had felt as if he'd passed through some strange space in a daze, entered the normal universe, and then landed on this planet.
So was it possible that he wasn't in the Dragon Ball Universe at all?
The people here couldn't learn to use ki, while he could. There were so many things here that resembled Earth. Axis made a bold guess: Earth's humans had colonized this planet.
Even Axis was a little frightened by his own idea! If he was right, did that mean he could go home?
Back to his true home, Earth—not the Earth in the Dragon Ball Universe.
"Russ! Could I ask you for a favor?" Axis said.
There were things he had to figure out. What kind of place was this planet he was on?
"Go ahead, my little Wolf Cub! If there's anything I can do to help, I'll do it. I am the King of Fenris, after all." Leman Russ nodded.
"Russ, could you find me some records of this planet's history? I want to learn about Fenris's past," Axis asked.
The best way to find out whether this planet had any connection to Earth was to learn its history.
"This planet's history? You mean the past? Why are you interested in things that are over? The past is past," Leman Russ said.
Because of Fenris's brutal environment, its people had never cared about the past. They cared only about the present and the future, and whether they could survive. That was all.
"There's something very important I need to confirm," Axis said.
This planet clearly bore signs of colonization. So who had colonized it?
Were they really people from Earth? Or some other aliens who looked similar? After all, the Dragon Ball World was based on an anime, and its aliens tended to have some human traits.
If he was still in the Dragon Ball World, and this place really was an alien colony, could those aliens return to the planet and report what was happening to the Evil Legion of the great king?
He had to get to the bottom of all this!
"There are no historical records on this planet. Our tribe doesn't record history either. We just pass on survival skills to the next generation, so I don't have any records," Leman Russ said with a shrug.
Fenris had no complete history, only scattered fragments. None of its people were even natives of the planet.
"The small ship I came in has a very advanced computer. We can go to one of those huge steel ruins and use its computer to decipher the computers there," Axis said.
He wanted to look through the planet's records. If there were no written accounts, then he could search the ancient technological ruins and use his small spaceship to access their data.
"You mean you can use the equipment on your small ship to look up what's in the computers in the ruins?" Leman Russ asked.
"Yeah! As long as they aren't too badly damaged, I can access them," Axis said.
"All right. As soon as I get back to the tribe, I'll have them bring some things from the ruins over," Leman Russ said with a nod.
Axis nodded, then flew straight back to the tribe. Ever since he'd learned to fly, he'd always returned that way, while Leman Russ rode back with his giant wolf brother.
Watching Axis fly off into the distance, Leman Russ looked envious.
He was extremely jealous of Axis's ability to fly.
As soon as he returned to the tribe, Leman Russ ordered its warriors to bring back some broken machines from the ancient ruins.
In just half a month, dozens of old, battered computers had been delivered to Axis's residence.
After fiddling with them for a while, Axis found only three that could still store data. The rest had become completely unusable over time.
Axis wasted no time connecting the computers to his small spaceship and starting the decryption process.
Soon, the data from the computers had been extracted. Axis eagerly began going through it—and then found something that left him utterly stunned.

Axis stared at the data in utter disbelief.
"T-this can't be real!"
Axis stared at the information on the screen in disbelief. If these records were genuine, then this planet really had been colonized by humans from Earth—and he might truly have left the Dragon Ball Universe.
Axis was overwhelmed by conflicting emotions. He was excited by the possibility of returning to his true home, yet afraid of the unknown in this universe.
He ran straight to the reception hall where Leman Russ was staying, eager to share his astonishing discovery. But when he rushed inside, he found Leman Russ entertaining a strange guest.
The stranger wore a cloak and was extraordinarily tall, even taller than Leman Russ. Axis glanced at him for a moment, then hurried over to Leman Russ.
"Russ, I've made a huge discovery! Have you ever heard of Earth?" Axis asked excitedly.
But before Leman Russ could reply, the stranger slowly raised his head. A pair of deep-set eyes emerged from beneath the shadow of his hood.
His voice was low and powerful, with a hint of nostalgia. "Earth... That's a name I haven't heard in a long time! Though these days, it's called Terra. Holy Terra."
Axis's heart sank. Terra? Holy Terra?
The unfamiliar name made him uneasy. He realized he might have become entangled in a universe far more complicated and dangerous than he had imagined.
