Background / History
Shrek initially operated from a remote site outside Soto City. After Heaven Dou Royal Academy expelled its members, Yu Xiaogang led the group toward Blue Silver Academy, expecting his “Grandmaster” reputation to secure admission, resources, and a tournament entry quota. Blue Silver Academy instead dismissed Shrek as an unknown institution and expelled Yu Xiaogang after Dai Mubai provoked and attacked its students. 8 12 13
Following the failed visit, Shrek left its old site and took over Blue Tyrant Academy in Heaven Dou City. Yu Xiaogang and Flender persuaded Liu Erlong to rename her academy “Shrek,” despite her concern for the original teachers and students. 24
Teaching Philosophy and Conduct
Yu Xiaogang presented Shrek as an academy for “monster geniuses,” relying on harsh training and his personal martial-soul theories. Ning Rongrong later stated that Shrek provided little beyond running laps, poor food, and use of her Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda as financial support; it lacked even a proper simulated cultivation environment. 24 54
The academy’s final official condemnation cited its “severely twisted” teaching philosophy and its tolerance for vile, underhanded tactics by students. Its members repeatedly employed poisoned hidden weapons, plotted to seize Blue Silver Academy’s cultivation grounds and resources, and discussed forcibly taking its female students. 26 32 35 57
