Background / History

Ning Rongrong was a Shrek Academy student and the daughter of Ning Fengzhi, Sect Master of the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect. Proud of her inherited Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagoda, she was shaken when Ye Lingling's support martial soul overwhelmingly outperformed it during Shrek's clash with Blue Silver Academy. While Shrek fled, Rongrong remained behind to investigate the academy. 28

Inside Blue Silver Academy, she secretly attended lectures on support-type soul power control and heard Xu Qing's teachings on the nature and potential of martial souls. Exposure to his life aura permanently expanded her soul power limit, while witnessing Dugu Yan's transformation convinced her that Blue Silver Academy could fundamentally alter a martial soul's potential. 28

Xu Qing deliberately let her experience the beginning of her pagoda's evolution, then halted the process just before an eighth story could fully form. Determined to pursue that opportunity, Rongrong chose to stay at Blue Silver Academy rather than return with Shrek. 29
