Can Guang City, Fies Royal Palace,
The plague incident in Can Guang City had happened a week ago. Over the past week, through the efforts of the Fies authorities and the Dawn Church, the turmoil had finally subsided.
Whether it was the citizens infected by the plague within Can Guang City or the hills outside the city where the battle had taken place, everything had been dealt with over the past week.
Even so, the attack had cast a shadow over the hearts of Can Guang City's nobles and citizens.
Though a week had already passed, many people were still discussing the matter. Even gatherings among the nobility had become far less frequent.
The fact that Duke House had been a believer of the Church of All Beasts had left many nobles utterly incredulous. While King Morton arranged for people to purge Duke House's close associates, no one wanted to draw attention to themselves at such a time.
However, the matter was ultimately in the past, and the kingdom had more or less finished handling everything. What it needed now was to reassure the public and restore Can Guang City to normal operations.
This Title Conferral Ceremony was an excellent opportunity to do just that.
For that very reason, the grandeur of the arrangements and decorations throughout the Fies Royal Palace today was breathtaking.
From the main palace gates guarded by royal sentries all the way to the lavishly decorated main hall, exquisite, thick red carpets lay straight along the main route. Golden banners bearing the Blood-colored Longsword insignia, towering palace columns, and vividly colored murals combined to create an atmosphere both solemn and majestic.
Servants busily moved through the palace corridors, cleaning floors that were already spotless and sprinkling specially prepared water over them. The air was filled with
