Dan'erluo Port,
Beinar had just left Li Si, still shaken as he prepared to return to his temporary residence in Dan'erluo Port.
Ignoring the commotion behind him, he parted ways with the other Old Nobles and turned into an alley under the protection of a Gold-level assassin.
"Please wait, Lord Beinar."
Before he had gone far, Beinar heard a voice from behind him.
He halted and turned around, only to see Ivor descend from midair with a staff in hand.
The guard also emerged from the shadows behind Beinar, gripping a sharp dagger as he warily watched Ivor.
"Lord Ivor, is there anything else?"
Beinar looked calmly at Ivor, who had suddenly appeared to stop him.
"Lord Beinar, Duke Kane wishes to speak with you privately. Do you have time now?"
Ivor stood before the two of them and spoke in a gentle tone.
His attitude toward Beinar was considerably better than it had been toward the other Old Nobles.
Judging by Lord Li Si's intentions, he seemed to want to win over this former duke of the Bertich Kingdom.
".All right."
Beinar hesitated for a moment before replying in a deep voice.
What Ivor had just said had already subtly revealed quite a bit of information.

Beinar's expression turned grave. According to the intelligence he had gathered before, Li Si had still been a court marquis.
If Li Si had truly been granted a ducal title and awarded Dan'erluo Port as his fief, then that differed greatly from Beinar's previous speculation.
Dan'erluo Port had only been occupied by the Fies Kingdom for a short time. Logically speaking, the kingdom could not possibly grant such an uncertain territory to Li Si as his fief so
