Black Cat rolled her eyes at the excited Li Si, jumped down from his shoulder, and tentatively touched the azure golem frozen in ice.
No one knew what material this Water Elemental Golem had been made from. Its entire body had a flowing quality, like a mass of pure water possessed by consciousness.
Li Si had experienced that firsthand during his battle with the Water Elemental Golem.
Almost all physical attacks had been ineffective against it. When struck, its body seemed utterly unburdened, splitting directly into countless pieces before gathering back into the shape of the golem.
Its form carried the feeling of cutting water only to make it flow more fiercely. Li Si could not tell how the golem was constructed, as though it had no core at all.
So, after shattering the Water Elemental Golem's outer shield as quickly as possible, Li Si had immediately used an ice-sealing spell to bring it under control.
The Water Elemental Golem was already the easiest of the Floating City's Four Elemental Golems to control, but that did not mean it was weak.
In Li Si's view, the Water Elemental Golem was better suited to protection and support in battle. Its frontal combat ability was not particularly strong.
Each of the Four Elemental Golems had its own characteristics. This must have been taken into account when they were designed; when working together, their combat power far surpassed what they could achieve alone.
That was also why Li Si could only choose a tactical retreat when faced with so many Elemental Golems.
However, these golems patrolled the Floating City alone, giving Li Si the chance to defeat them one by one.
