Curious, Li Si did not waste any time. With a casual gesture, he summoned an earth puppet as tall as a person, had it move aside the crumbling stone bricks before him, and began exploring downward.
The main body of a Floating City was built upon the inverted flat surface of an enormous mountain peak, once a symbol of the Magic Empire's might.
In the past, Legendary Mages of the Netheril Magic Empire used powerful Legendary Spells to sever mountain peaks. Through the combined effects of the Yutern Levitation Spell and the Cronomaser Gravity Reversal Spell, they turned those broken peaks upside down, placed the Mythallar Core at the center of the flat surface, and built the main body of the Floating City around it on that broad, level circular plane.
The first Floating City was called Iolum Flying City, and it became the blueprint for every Floating City constructed afterward.
